Norcote Loft, Countryside Apartment near Cirencester

Summary:

Two double bedrooms, one bathroom and room for four, in a private apartment at the top of a period farmhouse. The bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room are all on one level, reached by its own outside staircase, with an allocated parking space by the farmhouse, plus a second space. Expect sloping ceilings and beams, peaceful views of the fields, and a games console for evenings in. Cirencester's Market Place is about 5 minutes by car.



The Space:

Sleeping

Bedroom 1: UK double bed, 135 cm wide (about the size of a US full).

Bedroom 2: UK double bed, the same size.

Both bedrooms have drawers, hanging space and blackout blinds. Hotel-quality cotton linen and towels are ready for everyone, with extra pillows and blankets.



Bathroom

One bathroom with a walk-in shower, on the same level as the bedrooms.



Kitchen and dining

Oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender and a pod coffee machine with coffee, plus cookware, baking trays, crockery and wine glasses. The dining table is in the living room.



Living

A living room with sofas, the dining table, a games console and a big Smart TV.



Everyday practicals

Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly table, laundry (washer, tumble dryer and an iron), central heating, a tower fan for summer, a hair dryer and toiletries. The farmhouse is set back from the A417, down a drive with a pond beside it.



Travelling with children

Older children are well suited to the loft, and one family spent a happy week here with their primary-school-age child. You reach the front door by climbing two flights of outdoor steps, which is worth knowing with a baby or a toddler. There is no cot at the moment; please bring a travel cot if you need one.



Pets

Pets are not allowed at Norcote Loft.



Good to know

The apartment is in the roof space, so there are low beams and eaves, and anyone tall should watch their head, particularly at the cooker hood. On very hot days it gets warm under the roof; the tower fan helps. It's a rural spot, so plan on driving to shops and sights. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 7 am.



Guest Access:

The whole apartment is yours, with a private entrance at the top of a metal staircase behind the farmhouse. Self check-in is by lockbox from 4 pm, with the last arrivals at 9 pm, and departure is by 11 am. Your allocated parking space is beside the farmhouse.



The Neighborhood:

The loft is at Norcote, on the edge of Cirencester, the Roman market town at the heart of the Cotswolds. By car: Cirencester Market Place 5 minutes, the Corinium Museum 6, Cirencester Park 9, Bibury and Arlington Row 11, the Cotswold Water Park 13 (lakes, beaches and watersports in summer), Tetbury 18, Bourton-on-the-Water 23, Westonbirt Arboretum 28 and Cheltenham Racecourse 35. If you'd rather walk, Cirencester's Abbey Grounds are just over half an hour on foot.



Getting Around:

Kemble station, about 11 minutes by car, has trains to London Paddington. A car is the easy way to get around, as the loft is in the countryside. The Royal Agricultural University is about 7 minutes' drive.



Other Things to Note:

ID check and deposit: after booking, the lead guest completes a short ID check and deposit step with our partner SafeGuest. You choose either a Damage Deposit of £300 (your card is saved and nothing is taken up front; it can only be charged for a claim SafeGuest approves after check-out) or SafeGuest's No Deposit fee of £35 (a one-off fee paid to SafeGuest). If you can't use the photo ID check, message us and we'll arrange a short video call instead. Please don't send ID documents by email. Arrivals after 9 pm aren't possible, as that is when self check-in closes. Some satnavs find the entrance hard to locate, so please use the directions we send before you travel.
