About this cabin rental

Come relax and stay in JK Ranch's Cabin #3! Check out our other cabins if you have more than 2 people in your party. Enjoy 18 acres of wildlife, miniature herefords cows and peaceful surroundings. We are in the Texas wine country, so many wineries are a short drive away. Fredericksburg is only 15 minutes up the road. Our property is completely fenced with a separate fenced area for pets. Cabin #1 has a queen bed, updated bathroom, a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Feel free to use the firepit in the shared yard and enjoy the stars in the dark country sky. Please note that the road and walkway are NOT paved. This is a ranch so the ground is rocky.

This cabin was dirty with dead bugs in several places. Stunk, Gate to cabin area heavy with no night lighting. No bath soap. Bathed with my shampoo.

The property lived up to expectations (and more). The time was relaxing and great for our pups as well. Close to many restaurants and tourist attractions.

We were looking for a weekend getawy from Houston. This cabin was conveniently located between Kerrville and Fredrickburg and suited our needs. The cabin was small but roomy and not overly clutered. We enjoyed our stay away from City life with no interruptions not even TV.

We loved staying at Jim’s cabin for our anniversary trip. Check in process was very easy along with finding the cabin on the property. We had everything we needed for our stay and made ourselves at home for the weekend. The cabin is a short drive to Fredericksburg and 5 minutes away from Kerrville. We would stay here again and will recommend it to anyone we know that is headed out towards that area! Jim was very attentive and responded to all our messages in a timely matter. He provides a guide on places to eat and activities at the cabin which was nice to have. He also honors military discounts which you don’t see too often with rentals! Thank you again!

Everything was great. 10/10. Perfect location, downtonw Kerrville 10 mins away and downtown Fredricksberg about 20 mins away. San Antonio and Austin with in an hours drive. Property is beautiful and friendly. Owners are private and welcoming with great communication. Highly recommend staying here instead of a hotel. Especially if you want to travel with pets.

It's the hill country, it was beautiful. The rough terrain, wildlife around you was really a treat & the cattle on the property was an added extra. The place was clean, comfortable & quiet. The privacy was great too. First night found a scorpion on my wall, which got me paranoid & couldn't sleep. I tried to get to it, but when I did, it fell & went under the floor board. I also noticed ants in the bathroom & sometimes on my bed. On the info guest book, it said only call management for emergencies, so I felt I couldn't call, or disturb them, at least to get a bottle of Raid, or, Tp. I stayed 5 nights & was only given 1&½ roll of TP; pretty crazy for 2 people. Other than that, it was very nice, comfortable & peaceful. I would stay there again, & know what to watch for next time.

the Cabin is great for experience. The host helped us anytime we called. The cabin only has enough water for 1 person shower at a time. Then, we have to wait for it to heat up. I wish the parking right next to or in front of our cabin, so we can bring our luggage in easily, and also feel safe when we got home late.

Beautiful, tranquil and quant cabin nestled in the hills between Kerrville and Fredericksburg. Secured entrance brings you into a Hill Country hidden gem. Great place to get away from it all and reconnect with loved ones and nature. Owner is very courteous and helpful.
