About this house rental
Set on the west side of Oahu in the gated community of Mauna Olu Estates, this newly built 4-bedroom home offers a generous 1,700 square feet of living space with airy high ceilings, set amid a relaxing coastal design surrounded by the Waianae mountains. The raised lanai serves as the home`s backyard lounging area, complete with a private hot tub, a string-lit gazebo for evening relaxing, and an outdoor BBQ, with ocean and mountain views from around the property and a shared community pool and gym just steps away — all within a secure, 24-hour community setting.
Inside, the master suite sits on the first floor with a king bed, while three more bedrooms are upstairs: two with queen beds and a fourth with a full-and-twin bunk bed, plus two twin air mattresses available for extra sleeping space when needed. Every bedroom and the living area has A/C and ceiling fans, and all beds are outfitted with premium mattresses, memory foam pillows, and extra blankets.
The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and complete cooking essentials, and the home includes a washer and dryer in the garage, high-speed fiber wifi with ethernet in every room, and parking for up to 4 vehicles. Family touches like a high chair, playard, kids` dinnerware, beach gear, and games for indoor fun round out the space, making it just as comfortable for a family trip as it is for a group getaway.
Makaha Beach is a 3-minute drive and a golf course is a 10-minute walk from the house, with Kapolei`s shops 14 miles away. The home is kept spotless and well-stocked between stays, with self-check-in for an easy, welcoming arrival.

We stayed with our 7 kids and fit perfectly. The house was clean, the yard was beautiful, the hot tub was nice after a day at the beach. The only thing we wished for was a bigger gathering spot. The patio furniture was nice but needed more of it. Thank you for hosting us, we made some great memories at your house!

We truly enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and worked out great for our family is 8. There were 4 couples and each was able to have their own room. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was a huge bonus to have a washer and dryer to use. The beach towels came in very handy and made it nice so that we didn't need to pack our own to bring. The backyard is beautiful with a nice view of the ocean. I would definitely stay there again!! Kerstan was very quick to get back to me with any questions I asked. It is on the West side so you do have to drive to get to other parts is the island for activities, but that's okay. I feel like you drive no matter what part/side of the island you stay on. The beaches on the West side are AMAZING!! Not crowded and not much of a drive at all. Just beautiful!! There is a boat harbor only a few minutes away that we did an awesome tour from...totally worth it. Give this home a try. You won't be disappointed!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The backyard is beautifully landscaped with plenty of seating as well as a hot tub. We really appreciated the beach towels, coolers, boards, etc. Having those things available made our time at the beach that much more enjoyable. Kerstan is an excellent host who communicated with us throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property.

I want to start by saying that we really enjoyed our stay, and the property was very lovely and the view was gorgeous. Our host was very kind and helpful, though at times not as reliable with communication as I would have liked (ie, I would message one afternoon but not hear back until the following afternoon). We had issues with a couple of the AC units, which they tried to remedy, but my kids’ room smelled from the AC unit for the entirety of the visit, which my daughter struggled with. We bought new pans and baking sheet for the kitchen, because the ones provided were either too small or overused and the coating was scratched and chipping. The washing machine for the laundry left all the towels and clothes smelling strong of mold/mildew, even though we did a sanitize cycle and got the clothes out as soon as they were done washing. This was very unpleasant for all of us. The good news is that once we got home and washed everything in our own washer, that smell came out. The carpets need to be cleaned or changed as well, but if your family wears shoes in the house, you probably won’t be bothered by this. The beds and couches were comfortable enough, but could’ve been more supportive. For a property that charges over 1000 per night on average, I had expected better and was a bit disappointed. At this price point, a single night could pay for news pans, a new washing machine, and proper maintenance on the AC units. It was otherwise what we needed and backyard was beautiful.
