Brand New and huge property perched up on a hill at the Cottages of Mauna Olu development. Two story open floor plan with airy high ceilings and exquisite finishings throughout the residence. Open concept kitchen with stone counters and kitchen island for more entertaining. We just opened up the completely separate attached studio with private studio entrance, full kitchen, full bathroom, split a/c, washer & dryer! Perfect for a second family or "in-laws"!

This home boasts enormous eco-friendly landscaping including an outdoor seating and BBQ grill for entertaining friends and family. Owner tastefully decorated the house with custom top of the line furniture pieces, artwork, which really gives you the "welcome home" spirit one should feel when visiting West Oahu.
Smart TVs throughout the house, including in bedrooms along with split a/c in every room as well. Parking easily for 3-4 automobiles readily available (NO street parking). House comfortably sleeps seven adults or a family of eight or 10 with large studio. Bedding arrangements include: King in Master Suite, Queen in 2nd Guest Room, and 2 Twins in the 3rd room. The living room has a full size sleeper sofa ideal for 1 Adult or 2 smaller guests.

High speed fiber Internet and Wifi available through the AOAO package, very fast!
The cottages at Mauna Olu are a newly developed family oriented gated community with 24 hour security on Oahus famous west side. The 26 acre community features 118 homes situated within the breathtaking Makaha Valley, and is located at the foot of Mount Kaala of the Waianae Mountain Range, the tallest mountain on Oahu. Makaha Valley is one of the largest on the leeward coast. Mauna Olu is the perfect getaway from urban city life, ideal for enjoying peaceful starry nights and a resort-like ambiance while preserving a cozy home away from home feeling. World famous Makaha Beach known for its world class surfing is a mere 5 minutes away and frequently boasts some of the best weather on Oahu. Our group of seven (five adults and two children) spent almost s week at this vacation home, and it was a wonderful experience. The sweeping views of the Makaha Valley paired with the ocean backdrop were simply breathtaking and awe inspiring. Every morning felt like a postcard moment.The house itself was spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating our group. It had everything we needed to feel at home.While the drive to popular tourist spots was a bit long, we appreciated the chance to see daily life on the leeward side of the island. It gave us a more authentic feel of the community and appreciation for life in the county.Living in a gated community added a sense of security and warmth. Each day we were greeted with smiles and friendly alohas, which made us feel very welcome.The gym and pool were excellent and well-maintained. Inside the home, the kitchen amenities made cooking easy, and the inclusion of beach towels and toys was a thoughtful touch that the kids especially enjoyed.Overall, this stay gave us both comfort and connection—beautiful views, a welcoming community, and amenities that made our vacation stress-free and memorable. We would happily return!

House was just as described with everything that we could possibly need (including hand soap). Beds were comfortable and a/c worked great! Would definitely stay here again.

The house was clean and stocked with all the essentials. Great location in a gated community with Mountain View’s and a 5-10 min drive to the beaches. Mother-in-law suite sold it for us. Would definitely stay again.

Overall the house/community was good but lacking in amenities. The sheets and towels need to be replaced. They were very worn and there were not enough towels or washcloths. Two dish towels and one sponge are not enough for a week’s stay. We had to do multiple loads of laundry to have enough towels. The dryer isn’t the greatest. It had to be started multiple times in order to dry a load. WiFi was insufficient. We had use of the WiFi for about three days and it no longer worked.
