The Quarry House Luxury Retreat is a just 1km from the CBD but a world away from your standard hotel accommodation.
Recently opened, the Quarry House was born from a simple philosophy that where you stay should be as memorable an experience as the places you explore.
In creating the Quarry House Luxury Retreat we have drawn on our own travel experiences to create the ideal place to unwind and indulge, then thrown in a bit of Tassie personality. Every detail has been given careful thought, over and over again.
We offer a premium experience in a boutique setting so as to maintain guest privacy.
Stage one consists of two self-contained one bedroom suites with luxury finishes and indulgent inclusions such as fine Tasmanian whisky, wine, beer and chocolate truffles.
The Quarry House caters for only a small number of guests in order to provide a premium experience and maintain guest privacy.
Choose from one bedroom suites - the Lark suite or the Alcorso suite, named after two pioneers of Tasmania's world renown whisky and wine scenes.
Both suites have an ever changing vista of Mount Wellington.
Your accommodation consists of a kitchenette with oven, full size fridge and pantry, a dining/lounge area with Foxtel and wifi, separate bedroom with king size bed, ensuite with shower, soft fluffy bath robes and a washing machine - just in case. Secure parking is also included.
Get a taste of the best Tasmania has to offer with inclusions such as award winning Lark whisky, Boags beer and your choice of premium red or white wine when you book. Indulge your sweet tooth with a selection of Tasmanian chocolates, also with our compliments. Breakfast provisions such as fresh sour dough bread, jams, free-range eggs, bacon and granola are provided on arrival so you are well equipped for the following day, along with a selection of T2 teas and Nespresso coffee pods.
Take advantage of the Quarry House’s close proximity of the Domain Tennis Centre with
two tennis rackets and balls available for use during your stay. If golf is more your game
clubs are also available to enable you take advantage of the five golf courses within a radius of 20kms. Two bicycles and helmets are provided as quick transport to local markets, around the waterfront, or if you’re feeling energetic take the cycle path out to MONA.
The Quarry House Luxury Retreat is next to Jimmy Watson Award winning winemakers Glaetzer-Dixon. You are just 1km from the Hobart CBD and the waterfront, and walking distance to the iconic Salamanca place, city retail outlets and eateries. MONA is a 12 minute drive along the Brooker Highway, or catch the MONA ferry from Franklin wharf.
The Domain Tennis Centre, which hosts the Hobart International every January, is right on your doorstep along with the Hobart Aquatics Centre and the Botanical Gardens.

It was a pleasure to stay at this accommodation while in Hobart. Terry and Vanessa did everything possible to make us feel welcome and make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. We will definitely be returning!

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful well appointed new apartment in Hobart - one of 2 side by side. The owners have done a lovely job setting up a luxury escape for 2. Lots of nice touches like breakfast supplies provided, coffee pods, local wine, chocolates, a taste of local whiskey, kitchen and cleaning supplies. There are bikes to use too. Very thoughtful. It's an easy walk or bike ride down to the dock or battery point. We loved Hobart this time of year too - watching the boats come in and Taste of Tasmania. What a great place!
