Walk to world-famous beaches, dining and the Grand Hyatt, or relax poolside at our private resort-style pool that is only available to guests of the complex. Perfectly outfitted for families and friends to experience the best of Kauai.

A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
We STRONGLY RECOMMEND purchasing travel insurance to protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances. There are several companies online that can provide this to you at a nominal cost to your overall vacation investment.
To guarantee early check-in or late check-out, we recommend booking an extra night before or after your stay. Otherwise, these requests are subject to availability and cleaning schedules.
Holiday stays spanning both Christmas and New Year’s require a 14-night minimum.
The Sugar Sands Villa is located in Po'ipu at the southernmost tip of Kauai. This region is known for the the best weather on the island, offering world class beaches which are all within walking distance of our unit.
A few minutes to the east you will find the adventurous cliff-jumpers and white sand of Shipwreck's Beach. After a day of exploring e island you can enjoy the ocean view and fine dining at Tidepools Restaurant located in the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
An even shorter stroll to the west lands you at the famous Brennecke's and Po'ipu Beaches where you will find a playground and the comfort of an on-duty lifeguard, don't be surprised when you find sea turtles here bathing in the sun. A perfect night ends with take out out down by the water and a picnic to enjoy the tropical sunsets.
Of course you could always just choose to relax by our resort-style pool. And head into old Koloa town for some ice cream at Koloa Mill or some traditional Island fare at Sueoka's snack shop.

Our villa stay was perfect. The location was wonderful, our hosts were accommodating and communicative, and the home itself was lovely and clean. We spent almost every meal we had at “home” on the wide-open covered patio (lanai). Listening to the birds every morning was a highlight. The pool was right outside the door, and the short walk to the beach was divine. It’s a five-minute walk to Poipu beach and park, where we visited (quietly and at a respectful distance) the green sea turtles and monk seals every night. Hmm…how many more glowing adjectives can I use to describe what a marvelous time we had? My husband and I are parents to two grown children who have significant others. All four love to run hike, swim, climb and participate in all things outdoor. This was the perfect vacation for them to be active, and for us to be active with bouts of relaxing at the beach or lounging by the pool. We grilled at home twice and also indulged in the many yummy options available at nearby restaurants and food trucks. I also recommend you research options all over the island. There are SO many things to do, see and eat. I definitely want to go back. I am writing this back home as it snows outside. Take me back to my home away from home! Thanks to our hosts for the great stay!

Excellent unit in a complex that has become our favorite! The pool and hot tub area is fabulous, the ground floor location makes it easy to just step outside and walk anywhere. The unit was thoughtfully appointed and as described. Our 8 year old slept on the air mattress and it was perfect for him. We will be back!

Stunning property in a beautiful location in Poipu Kai resort. Very close to a lovely pool with BBQ area. The villa is well equipped for both adults and kids. The host is very responsive and helpful. Within 5 minutes walk from Poipu beach where the sea turtles come out to sleep on the beach at sunset. Also only a 5 minute walk to the Hyatt with its amazing grounds and the koi - fish food is provided to feed the fish!We will definitely be back!!
