With a total area of 240 m2, you will have in addition to the house a 60 m2 annex converted into a kitchen, summer dining room and games room.

DESCRIPTION OF THE COTTAGE:
GROUND FLOOR: the living room with its 2 large sofas welcomes you with its traditional stone fireplace, the walls are decorated with original paintings representing local architecture, and for your cinema evenings you have a 108cm flat screen TV with a DVD player and stereo. Dining room for 10 people with a large picture window on a terrace facing south facing the mountains.
The kitchen is over-equipped: gas hob, large oven; Nespresso machine, Centrifuge, blender, Toaster, microwave etc ......
A bedroom (160cm bed), a bathroom (2 sinks + Italian shower), a separate toilet can also accommodate a person in a wheelchair. We automatically supply linens, towels, and bedding. The beds are made on your arrival, and the house is equipped with all the consumables (toilet paper, paper towel, aluminum, etc ......... We have taken great care in the quality of the beds (4 seasons duvet summer / winter) to ensure you a good rest.

Excellent location, set within the Pyrenees and able to wake up every morning and have coffee with a dreamy view
The Gite/ cottage has been restored to a high standard. Very well equipped and very clean

Four bike riding friends from Holland spent a week at Josy and Yann’s beautifully refurbished bergerie, using it as a base for daily cycling trips into the high mountains. When after a 14-hour drive from Amsterdam we arrived on Saturday evening at le Sarrat de Bon, Yosy and Yann were waiting for us with their Suzuki 4-wheel drive, to lead us to the bergerie in the valley below. They gave us the usual tour around the house, but also left a generous goodie basket (baguette, pain de campagne, plus local jam, cake and cheeses). As the suspension of our car had broken down, it had to be towed to Tarbes, on Sunday. The replacement car wasn’t delivered until Wednesday (!). Of course we weren’t prepared for this, so after an improvised meal on Saturday evening and a breakfast that disposed of most of the goodies we ran out of food and drink. And we had no transport, so it would be complicated to eat out (where do you leave the bikes, how do you get back in the dark) or do some shopping with rucksacks. That Sunday evening we were saved by Yann, who delivered a complete dinner (with the compliments of Josy) at the bergerie. Chicken with potatoes, bread, wine and a cake for dessert. In addition our hosts generously lent us a car, enabling us to do a huge load of shopping at the Intermarché in Tarbes. When finally the replacement car arrived we could drive to the mountains that couldn’t be covered by bike from the bergerie. And on Thursday we could pick up the repaired car, in time for the trip back home. Summing up: We enjoyed our bike rides in the mountains, the beautiful ever changing scenery, the majestic vultures, the quietness, the lovely, roomy house (in particular the well-equipped kitchen). But the warmth and help from Josy and Yann certainly made our stay extra unforgettable.

We had a wonderful stay in this house in mid-early July, with a party of five adults, one teenager, and one toddler! The property is well-described online, and the owners were available by email before our visit to answer our questions.
On arrival, we found the house very clean and beautifully furnished and equipped. It is as spacious as the photographs imply, and the view from the main windows in the house is extremely beautiful. The grounds around the house include a space by the stream for picnics, lovely walking straight from the door, and wildlife such as deer coming to the land around the house every evening.
There is a narrow track on the approach to the house with walls either side which needs care if you have a wide vehicle, but we got a Discovery through without a problem.
The owners are very kind, and they made us extremely welcome. As they live nearby they were able to help with any questions during our stay. This is such a special place that we suspect in future years we won't find anywhere else that can compare!
