Great property for groups!

Overall the place was perfect for our needs. We had a large group for a couple of days. House is very spacious and location was perfect for taking the boats out at Lanark.
The only complaint was it was literally the hottest day of the summer and upon arrival the air conditioning was off and set to 90. It took until the day we left to get the house at a comfortable temp. I would suggest having the house cool for incoming guests.

The owner gave good directions for getting into house. I got there at 3:30 pm. House was 86 degrees because air was cut off. Kitchen amenities such as large bowls, skillets, large knives, dish rags, drying towels, etc were totally missing. Because i live nearby. I was able to bring these things. But for out of town travelers, they are SOL. We had to wash towels every morning as there were no extra towels available. There was no laundry detergent, not even for first day. The only seating in the living room were futons. VERY LOW and uncomfortable seating. They need to at least put risers under legs so you are not sitting with your knees above your butt. Toilets are extremely low and hard to get on and off. No place to put clothes in the bedrooms. Had to leave suitcases open on floor to get to clothing. No bedside lamps. As i said, large house but very inconvenient. Would not rent again. House was very clean, but for what was missing and very uncomfortable seating, the price was very high.
