About this house rental
Located 5 minutes drive from the famous sandy beach of Calheta, in a quiet area with beautiful view on the slope of Calheta and Ocean. And only 25 minutes of Funchal is the capital city of Madeira It's backed by hills, and known for its harbor, gardens and Madeira wine cellars. The centuries-old Funchal Cathedral, which mixes Gothic and Romanesque styles, is notable for its carved wooden ceiling. Fronting the harbor is the São Tiago Fortress, built in the 1600s. It now houses the Art Museum.

The house is overall very nice and cozy. We really enjoyed having breakfast outside and enjoying the view, cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen or swimming in the pool.
One small drawback is that the house always smelled a bit musty and there were stick stains under some beds.

The holiday home is well equipped and offers enough space. The location is convenient for day trips in all directions of Madeira. We enjoyed the vacation very much.

Booking was easy, prompt reply's from the owner and most helpful .The villa is stunning and has all new equipment and furniture . Lots of TV channels in English. The views are just amazing .. The villa was spotlessly clean, great wifi and constant hot water, good beds Cecilla the housekeeper was so nice and kind and was not far away .The villa is in a dead end road no passing traffic. There is a small bar at the top of the road and lots of restaurants 10 mins drive up the hill or down the hill . You can walk to a small supermarket down the hill . Migs place is recommended and you will not be disappointed. There is a bigger supermarket by the savoy hotel in calheta . Thank you very much we just loved migs place and Arco da calheta .
