Vila Violla private swimming pool

The location is absolutely stunning. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay away from the noise of the city, this is the perfect place. The views from the windows are breathtaking. The kitchen is fully equipped, the washing machine worked perfectly, and there is plenty of space both inside and outside. The terrace is a lovely place to relax. The bed linen and towels were clean and fresh, which we appreciated. The swimming pool has great potential and would be fantastic if it were better maintained.

Unfortunately, this was the first holiday where we had to start by cleaning the property ourselves. There was a strong mold smell, and the toilet seat was visibly moldy. It looked like the villa hadn’t been properly cleaned for quite some time. After airing the house and buying air fresheners, the smell eventually disappeared. The swimming pool was dirty, full of leaves and dead insects. We informed the host immediately and were promised it would be cleaned, but nobody came during our stay. We also paid for pool heating, but it took several days to be activated and then only worked for about 24 hours. The host became unresponsive and only refunded us after we threatened to open a Booking.com dispute. The sun loungers were broken (as previous guests had already mentioned), the coffee machine didn’t work, and some blankets and furniture were dusty or dirty. We were also missing one set of bed linen, although it was delivered on the first day after we reported it. Overall, we’re easy-going people and didn’t let these issues ruin our holiday—we cleaned what we could and still had a great time. However, considering the price, this shouldn’t be the guest’s responsibility. This could be an amazing villa with some care: proper cleaning, regular maintenance, replacing broken items, and better communication from the host.

- Ruim huis, met grote kamers en 2 badkamers. - Mooie locatie met prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan. - Heerlijk zwembad. Halverwege ons verblijf kwam een bedrijf langs om de tuin en het zwembad schoon te maken. Top! - Nieuwe koelkast, vaatwasser en wasmachine. - Auto makkelijk parkeren binnen het hek.

- Geen vriendelijk woord van de host (via whatsapp). Behalve info over sleutel en betaling geen reactie op vragen. - Vage betaling naar Litouwse bankrekening (voelde verdacht, heb daar booking nog over gebeld maar bleek wel de bedoeling). - Matrassen van bedden waren slecht. In de tweepersoonsbedden rolde je naar elkaar toe, en in de eenpersoonsbedden kon je de veren in de matrassen voelen. - Douchedeur sloot niet goed waardoor waterballet na elke douche. - De keuken en het servies waren vies: we hebben zelf 3 ladingen met servies en bestek in de vaatwasser gedaan en de keukenkastjes schoongemaakt. De vorige huurder had melk in de koffiemachine gedaan en dat al al even gestaan. Verschrikkelijk goor. Na meer dan een uur spoelen rook het water nog steeds zuur. - De twee ligstoelen in de tuin waren kapot. - Verschillende sloten waren kapot: de schuifdeur beneden en meerdere ramen boven konden niet op slot. Dit zou echt een geweldig vakantiehuis kunnen zijn, maar het voelt als een verwaarloosd investeringsobject.

Etwas Schimmel im kleinen Schlafzimmer, Möbel schon in die Jahre gekommen, Dusche war alt und etwas schimmelig. Fehlende Glühbirnen an zwei Nachtischlampen, als wir ankamen war der Pool voll von Laub. Tage später wurde er unangekündigt gereinigt.
