Captiva Sun & Moon Pool House - Beach Side of Village Center

Our Sun & Moon House, a 3 br/3 bath Key West-inspired home on popular Wightman Lane, is only a three-minute walk down the sandy lane to the beach -- rated the most romantic for its calm, warm water, tropical atmosphere, and gorgeous sunsets. The restaurants in the village are just as close. And please note, we're on Captiva Island where you can drive to, unlike North Captiva - a totally separate destination - where no cars are permitted.

The decor is always kept updated and amenities reflect a finished, comfortable home, rather than a rental unit. The new kitchen is fully equipped for any entertaining needs. Dining choices include a dining room or the screened, furnished lanai by the re-finished swimming pool and paver stone-covered pool deck, or even the furnished sun & moon deck on the top level.

The glass-sided living room, with a leather, super comfortable sleeper sofa and side chairs, offers a panoramic view of the swimming pool and the tropical foliage. The entertainment center has a 50" Smart LCD HDTV, DVD, and a Bluetooth connected 100-watt Onkyo stereo receiver, 6-disc CD changer and Infinity speakers inside and JBL poolside speakers. A large collection of CDs are provided. Wireless Comcast Internet and long-Comcast free calling in the 48 states. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, ice coolers, and handy beach cart make for an easy beach day.

The master bedroom on the second floor has a king-size bed, its own full bath, and 43" Smart HDTV. The "sun & moon" deck is accessible from this room as well as the hallway.

The second-floor guest bedroom has two twin beds, HDTV/DVD, and its own full bath in the room. Children love this spacious and well decorated and equipped room.

The first-floor guest room, separated from the main living area for privacy, has a full bath, desk workspace, and 32" wall-mounted HDTV. It's perfect for another couple, the grandparents, or a nanny for the children.

Naturally, all linens are provided and you'll find everything in perfect, move-in condition. Beach towels, lounge chairs, and umbrellas are provided for the beach. Our pool lanai is totally furnished and a new Weber gas grill is ready for a cookout.

This home is not with a management company. It is managed and prepared personally by us, the owners. We personally supervise and assist our cleaning staff each Saturday. As the last to walk out the door prior to your arrival, we can assure you the Sun & Moon is one of the most immaculate and best-prepared homes on Captiva, both inside and outside.

We accept only Saturday to Saturday reservations, as is the standard on Captiva Island. We accept reservations no further than a year in advance, as current guests have the first option to reserve the same week the following year. If the guests do not re-book by 10 am of their departure day, a new reservation request may be accepted.

We also personally own and manage our smaller Mermaid House, VRBO 3506022, a classic Captiva cottage-style home. You are assured of a perfectly prepared house, both inside and out, as we're the last to leave the house before you arrive.
