This is a trap! I booked this house for a group of 8 and it turned out to be completely unfit for guests. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property hadn’t been maintained or cleaned properly. The most serious issue was water leaking from an electrical lamp in one of the bedrooms — a major safety hazard. The rug and bed underneath were soaked, and we had to use a bucket to collect the water overnight. Other major problems included: No hot water in one of the bathrooms and a leaking shower upstairs with barely any pressure. The entire house was filthy — dirty floors, greasy kitchen surfaces, unwashed dishes, and bedding that was clearly used. Only 2 toilet rolls for 8 people for 5 days, one bath towel per room, and no hand towels or hand soap. Mould, broken tiles, and damaged fixtures throughout. The yard was overgrown and full of trash, bins overflowing, and the windows didn’t close properly, making the house cold and drafty. A live electrical outlet in a bathroom, which is dangerous. To make things worse, the host and property management were completely unresponsive, and the maintenance request form didn’t work. Even neighbours said they’ve been complaining to the council about this place for months. This property is a health and safety hazard and should never have been listed. I had to leave early and am pursuing a refund through Expedia. Travelers should avoid this listing entirely until serious repairs, cleaning, and safety inspections are done.
