This cottage has the potential to be fabulous with a little more tlc and added touches.

Door open on arrival. Candles lit which gave nice, homely smell. Very spacious inside and games room with pool table for kids. Hot tub (extra £40) within enclosed area. Lovely big garden with tree swing

Most rooms would benefit from a coat of paint to freshen the property up. New chairs in games room or chairs recovered as looks tatty at present also a TV or speaker for music within this room might be a good addition Pool table ripped and only one cue to play with (tip was missing when we arrived) so could benefit from being replaced Only one TV within whole cottage within livingroom which was disappointing for the kids as couldn't watch in bed. No welcome hamper as shown which would have provided a nice touch as no shops near by - milk, jam, irn bru, shortbread Hot tub outdoor - flip flops or robes would be nice extra when embracing the cold and stones to entrance

Excellent short stay in the property before flying from Glasgow airport.

The property was spacious and very comfy. The facilities were exactly what we needed and the pool table was a nice extra.

Lovely Scottish feel cottage, will definitely be back 🤩

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Very cosy and spacious. Beds are very comfortable. We loved the fact the hot tub is inside a little barn type place with sliding glass doors. It means you’re not standing freezing when you get out the hot tub which was great we could get dried before making our way back into the cottage. Communication with the owner was great and given good directions on how to get there, also put the heating and canoe candles on for our arrival. Was able to order food to the location. I took my friend here for a nice chill out night and that is definitely what we had 😊

Maybe need a new tv in living room as there is a line down the screen. No other faults 😊

Quaint country cottage in quiet area

Loved the tranquil country setting, no road noises, surrounded by animals, lush greenery. Just lovely. A quaint and spacious cottage attached to a farmhouse with cozy homey vibe. Hubby loved the welcome crisps though no one else got to sample them! The kids loved the billiard table, even though there was only one cue and it was missing its tip. Casino the horse was very friendly and enjoyed the apple our daughters fed him. The morning ducks were adorable and entertained the children for good while.

As much as we loved the property it was showing signs of wear and it wouldn’t take much to spruce it up; a deep clean, cobweb removal, fresh coat of paint and a bit of maintenance would make this place an absolute knockout. A back panel would be a great addition to one of the kitchen cupboards to conceal a cavity that looks like it could be a home to critters (not saying that it is, it just looks like it could be). The beds felt small, which was a surprise given how large the rooms are.

Location was great, house was a good size, garden was lovely, animals were very friendly, pool room was great. We had a lovely stay.

We had an issue with the heating but when I contacted the host, someone came around to sort it straight away.

AWFUL

The Dog

Everything else, The cleanliness levels were not acceptable, we decided against using the hot tub as there was a scum ring around it before use, the hut it’s in had not been swept or cleaned and was full of dust and leaves which we would have understood if it were not fully enclosed, it just hadn’t been cleaned! We were not left a cloth, sponge dishtowel or kitchen roll and was only supplied when we complained! The kitchen cupboards were filthy one of our Party cleaned them all as we didn’t want to put clean dishes back into a dirty cupboard, the drawers were broken, utensils were slim, no egglifter or tongs, two frying pans one was to big for the induction hob so didn’t heat up properly, the other was so buckled and burnt it just smoked anything you tried to cook! We never even sat in the living room as the lounge suit looked so dark and dirty! But the final straw was finding somebody’s grey t-shirt in one of the beds, which clearly meant the bed linens hadn’t been changed between stays! There was cobwebs and dust everywhere! We are a pretty easy going bunch of people, but this was too much! The whole place needs to be painted and deep cleaned! So disappointed with the whole experience it was supposed to be a lovely weekend in the country to celebrate with family! Instead we huddled in the kitchen that we cleaned ourselves to avoid the rest of the house!

The cottage is a good base. Nice spacious building. With a little bit of work it could be beautiful

Kids enjoyed the pool table and the rope swing. Was a nice quiet location.

The decor was very poor (burst chair in pool room, kitchen wall has massive scrape above table) cleanliness could have been a lot better. I understand that the owner was just back the day before but still not clean, the tv had a pink line down it and the hot tub wasn’t filled. But most of all the heating wasn’t working on second night in the living room and far away bedroom felt cold and damp.

Beautiful Scottish country cottage

I loved the quiet and the feel of a proper countryside cottage. Very spacious in every aspect. My daughter & her friends had a great stay and loved the hot tub and I did too. Excellent communication from the owner and lovely with everything. Would definitely recommend and would book again.

Fab wee night away

Amazing location. Lovely animals around, horses and sheep. Spacious and everything u need for self catering. Great big bedrooms. Lovely rustic decor. Hot tub and snooker table kept us well entertained. Host Catriona was friendly and accommodating with good communication. Good location to be away from hustle and bustle but also not too far from home and able to get food delivery.

No dislike. We couldn't figure out how to get the fire stick working and the signal was too weak from the arial to get most channels which was a bit annoying. But it didn't affect our stay for only a night

Location was good

Very old and shabby in need of updating throughout. House was not cleaned, pee on the toilet seat when we arrived, hairs in the shower and just generally a bit dirty.

Calm, quiet, serene getaway amidst all the din

The property was fabulous outside and inside. We were looking for some quiet after a long road trip and it matched it to the T. Beautiful landscapes all around. Top notch facilities inside. Wonderful hosts and a fab farm. Host family lives on the property and owns horses. Extremely peaceful rural setting.
