About this bed and breakfast
Dream vacation one-bedroom home. Less than mile to beautiful ocean. Parking steps from front door. Comfortable, cozy & clean home w/outdoor speakers on patio, ambient lighting, two ceiling fans, ping pong table, a gas firepit and a decorative faux firepit, horse shoes, bean bag toss, gas BBQ, beach supplies, cable tv in living room & bedroom, full kitchen. The perfect place for a private getaway, happy times & making lasting memories.
Essential Business Amenities: Free Wireless Internet and HP Color Printer, Towels, Deluxe Bedding, Soap, Shampoo,Hangers, Iron & Ironing Board, Hair Dryer, Laptop Friendly Workspace consisting of a Table (other than the dining table) and Desk with a chair.
Romantic Getaway and Tropical Resort Decor: The full kitchen has all new appliances and purified water. Wireless HP Colored Printer . The home and all rooms are wheel chair friendly/accessible. There is a yoga mat, foam roller, jump ropes, and other fun workout items. Pet-free to accommodate people with animal allergies. No smoking on premises to accommodate people with allergies.
Fun and Recreational Amenities: There is a completely private patio on the west side of the guest home with a ping pong table and horse shoes. On the east side, there is a gas fire pit on the patio with string lighting, an outdoor shower with hot water, a gas BBQ, lounge chairs, and outdoor dining table with umbrella.
Guest interaction: We plan to be here to greet guests when they arrive. Also we like to give guests their privacy, and we have someone nearby to assist with any needs that may come up during your stay if we are not around.
Neighborhood overview: This is a quiet, friendly neighborhood, yet very close to Hwys 5 & 78 for quick access to fun adventures. Free tennis courts are 1 1/2 blocks away. The beach is less than a mile. The Beach Break Cafe (best breakfast in No. County) and Urge Gastropub are both 8 blocks from your front door.
Getting around: Pleasant walk (about 1 mile) to the beach. The Oceanside Transit Center/Train Station is 2 miles away and the Carlsbad Village Station is 1 1/2 miles away. Bike rentals available.
Other things to note: We have body boards, beach chairs, and beach towels to enjoy during your stay.

We had a great time. Pam was a terrific host. The Cottage was immaculate, perfect, in terms of size (for two adults),and absolutely spotless. She thought of everything, chargers for the phones, nice little welcome snacks. Absolutely a gem of a place to stay. Close to the beach and restaurants.

I felt like I was home when I entered the casita! A well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, plenty of table space and outlets for electronics. Reliable wi-fi. Beautifully decorated. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoors is inviting with multiple spaces to relax with privacy. A quiet, walkable neighborhood and a short drive to all activities and amenities. Walk to coffee shops, the lagoon, or the ocean. A short drive to hiking trails, parks, and many quaint California towns.
I've used VRBO for many rentals and this is a superior property. The owner is accessible, friendly and wants to make a stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this rental and will stay again when possible. Barb R

We couldn’t of a asked for a nicer place to stay. Pam went above and beyond as our host. Such a comfortable and enjoyable casita and private but with a large backyard and everything possible for a fun evening! Thank you Pam!!

Here is my very personal checklist of likes:
Convenience: Very close to freeway entrance/exit, making it accessible to virtually any city in the region.
Noise: In spite of freeway proximity, home is amazingly quiet! Ours not to reason why. It just is…..
Kitchen: Fully equipped for all cooking needs, even though we didn’t cook. Well stocked with coffee, tea, etc.
Bed: Definitely comfortable and we’re picky!
Exercise: Area is very conducive to walking. One doesn’t have to climb up and down steep hills, whether it’s to the ocean, shopping area and restaurants, or simply strolling around the neighborhood..
TV: Easy to understand. For a change, we didn’t have to fight and struggle to find the channels we wanted.
Water purifier: We didn’t have to run out and buy bottled water because she has a built in system.
This was one of our favorite rentals, and we have done many over the past 20 plus years. Cottage was beautifully appointed with a light and airy feel, yet private as it’s tucked away behind the host’s house. Garden and patio area is lovely, and Pam bends over backwards to keep her guests happy.
We definitely plan to return!
