Sleeps 12. 6 bedroom Casa Fontanelle is our property for rental in Umbria, Italy. It is a handsome and well appointed 'casa padrionale' farmhouse offering spacious accommodation, with its own private swimming pool, terrace and landscaped gardens of one and a quarter acre
Sleeps 12 guests in 6 generously sized double bedrooms, has 4 bathrooms, 2 ensuite, TV, Wifi internet, offers sweeping views from all four sides of the house and terraces as well as a 11m x 6m swimming pool
Enjoying a hillside position very close to the small villages of Cerqueto (3km) and Spina (2.5km) directly halfway between Perugia and Todi in Central Umbria, set in just over 1 acre of grounds with gardens, cypress and olive trees. The property offers 360 degree views of the hills of Umbria and the capital city of Perugia beyond. It is a quiet and tranquil country setting ideal for children and a family holiday yet conveniently close to the many cultural, artistic and culinary delights
Perugia Golf Club: For the golfer a choice of 18 holes at Perugia Golf Club in a lovely setting less than 30 minutes drive away.
The owner has 2 sets of golf clubs at the Villa which guests can use free of charge.

Antognolla golf course is an 18 hole Robert Trent Jones Jr championship golf course, situated in the heart of Umbria, 20 mins north of Perugia. The journey from Casa Fontanelle is 45mins.
11 kms away is the town of Marsciano. It has 2 supermarkets and a full range of shops, banks, cafes and a post office, plus a lively weekly market and a wide selection of restaurants.
The nearest village is Spina (2.5kms) which has a mini-market for essential items, a bank with bancomat, chemist, butcher, post office and a café.
Perugia is 20km to the north and Todi 20km to the south. As the house is so well positioned and has quick access to the E45 Superstrada many famous towns can be visited

This is a beautiful and well appointed holiday home with six rooms (twelve beds) and a lovely kitchen with all amenities. Nice pool area (please note that there is a separate outside dining area on the other side of the house). Very smooth check in and check out. Very clean. Highly recommended! Do not forget to order Laura’s dinner (you will not regret). All rooms have fans. Windows have proper shields (against all flying and creeping creatures). Location is close to Perugia, Assisi, and - a bit further - Arezzo, Florence, Terni and Orte. We highly recommend to visit the Cascata delle Marmore (beautiful waterfalls). Super friendly owners. On the down side: this is rural area with some big pig and swine sheds near the house with the accompanying pollution (and flies). People suffering from asthma might need to take their medication.

We have stayed at Casa Fontanelle twice (2008 and 2009) with friends and completely enjoyed it on both occasions. The villa is so homely and comfortable, well equipped and spacious. The location is beautiful and we found some really good family-run restaurants in nearby towns. I spent my 50th birthday here in 2009 and although I ended up cooking for 12, it'll possibly be my most memorable birthday (definitely the most relaxed I can remember). We're hoping to have a family holiday at Casa Fontanelle during the next year and I can't wait. Love it.

We have just spent 5 amazing nights at this beautiful house, the scenery was stunning, (the only sound was the birds) the house was so well appointed with everything we needed. The pool was clean, warm, and a nice size, Graham offered so much helpful information about local places to eat and visit (Assisi and Todi were our favourites) Top tip - Laura the neighbour can provide amazing home cooked food for very reasonable prices. We think this house is a little piece of heaven. Suitable for all ages, and groups or a romantic retreat. We hope to return!

Casa Fontanelle was a wonderful choice for our family vacation. There were 6 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of space in and out for everyone. The bedrooms were spacious and the showers were great.
When we arrived there was a wonderful welcome package waiting for us. Within a couple of hours of arriving the caretakers, Tony and Carin, came to welcome us. We also received a phone call from Graham, the owner, that evening.
The house is in a wonderful location, close to many attractions. We are very thankful to Graham for making our holiday so memorable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa Fontanelle to anyone. We are already trying to plan our next visit.
