About this chalet rental
Hello there and thank you for considering a stay at my peaceful, hillside getaway! You'll find that this home is conveniently located just seconds from Greek Peak Mountain Resort, 10-minutes away from downtown Cortland, and 25-minutes from downtown Ithaca. Enjoy amazing views of the surrounding hills and two-acres of yard from the hot tub or the 360 sq. ft. back porch which runs the length of the home. The grill is ready for cooking and don't leave without a hang around the spacious fire pit area!
"This home has been a dream of ours for a long time, and one that has had a whole lot of love and hard work poured into it. Our priority when searching for a home was a beautiful setting - I wanted to go to bed at night to the sound of the forest and wake up to birds singing in the trees. In addition to the beautiful surroundings, the house needed to have character built into its bones - a uniqueness deep down that any work redesigning could only help bring out, not create. In this home we found everything I wanted, and have worked long and hard to create a mid-century modern themed, rustic hillside retreat. The hope is that all of this hard work pays off when you smile with delight upon opening each door inside the home onto a uniquely designed space. Set into the same forested hillside as the storied slopes of Greek Peak Mountain Resort, this home couldn't be closer to all of the adventure and excitement this full-season attraction has to offer. Skiing and snowboarding dominate the wintertime activities roster, but don't forget about the often underrated snowshoeing and cross-country skiing available as well. During the summer enjoy the idyllic sunny days hiking the trails, visiting the spa, or sitting on the white sand of Hope Lake Beach (a 2-minute drive away). If more adventurous fare is what you have in mind, the mountain biking trails, indoor waterpark and outdoor adventure center (which includes a mountain rollercoaster and high ropes course!) should satisfy even the most extreme adrenaline junky. Trax Pub & Grill and Carver's Steakhouse are two wonderful restaurants within a minute of the property if you are looking for a nice dinner/drink out. If it's proximity to Cortland, Ithaca, and even Syracuse that you have in mind, you are only a short drive away.

Phil was a terrific host. We stayed for 43 nights. It is so very quiet and peaceful. There is a terrific ice cream shoppe at the bottom of the hill. We delighted in the hot tub, and enjoyed reading by the fire pit. This rental is well suited for both longer and shorter stays. The wine and the picnic basket loaded with s’more supplies was certainly a plus. The house was well appointed, with nothing extra to bring. Enjoy!!!

We rented this house to visit my daughter at Cortland. We were 4 adults, a teen and a dog. The house was perfect! Enough space for everyone and the kitchen has all the amenities needed to cook. They had outside amenities as well, which we were excited about, but it rained all weekend so we couldn't enjoy them. The house came with a lot of board games, which my family used and enjoyed. My son loved the games! Great place to rent with a family. I will absolutely rent this house again in the future!

The Property was everything we needed and wanted for our weekend getaway! The host was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond our expectations. It truly felt like a "home away from home". The property is well laid out and very functional. We had a family of four but this place could easily accommodate a group of adults or a larger family. The hot tub is new and clean. The fire pit area is a wonderful feature. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valley. The propane heater on the deck was perfect and kept us comfortable outside. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay here while home visiting family. The house was nice and cozy but also plenty of room for the 7 of us at the same time. The firepit was a relaxing time on a cool night and the complementary items were a nice touch as well as the hot tub. We hope to rent again in the future when we venture back to the area to visit. Last but certainly not least, Phil was a super attentive host and we have never had so much positive communication and 5 star care from a host in the past as he definitely goes above and beyond making you feel welcome. I highly recommend booking a stay!
