About this house rental
Beautiful private stone ranch style home on 10 acres on the Colorado River. Boating, paddling, fishing, weddings or just good ole relaxation. Pool surrounded by beautiful rose garden. Good vantage point for the Round Top antique festival, Fayette county Fair or Fayette Lake. Large patio with ample furniture, fire pit and charcoal or wood bar-b-que pit/smoker. Large dining room and kitchen for entertaining. Large living room with large screen TV. Internet. Wood burning fireplace. Master bedroom with private French doors opening on pool and beautiful view of lawn to river. Master BR has large private bathroom with walk In shower and double vanity. Has utility room with 2nd freezer and washer/dryer.
150 foot of river frontage with slip for launching paddle craft and small boats. This part of the Colorado river is the most scenic of all the river. Has large bluffs small rapids paddling from Plum park and easy paddle to La Grange public boat ramp. Great bank fishing. Outdoor fish cleaning station. Note: up to 2 canoes and 4 single person kayaks can be rented complete with paddles and PFD for $50 each for duration of your stay (must be arranged and paid in advance with the owner).
Located off highway 77 just 7 miles to La Grange, 5 miles from Fayette County Fairgrounds host of MS-150 and Fayette County Fair, 7 miles to LaGrange City Park which has public boat launch. City of La Grange offers lots of Texas history, Muster oak and Monument Hill honor the heroes of the Republic of Texas battle against the Mexicans. Rabbs Prairie is one of the largest land grants in the area to William Rabb for his commitment to Gen Steven F. Austin's exploratory expeditions up the Colorado river in early 1800's.

House was clean, AC worked great, kitchen had all the utensils one needs to cook with. Pool was awesome! Ben was spot on with suggestions & help. Was only looking for a quick Labor Day weekend getaway, but may have to come back longer. Was a great trip!!!

Wonderful stay! The house is perfect for entertaining. Inside the house, the kitchen and common area are enormous. But the outside was my favorite! The backyard was sprawling and has a lovely view of the Colorado River. It’s an absolute must to kayak/canoe on the river. This part of the river is expansive but very calm. We also did some fishing on the river bank and even caught a 2 lb. catfish. The pool provided a great way for the kids to cool off in the heat. Bennie is great and very responsive! We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I spent our Thanksgiving Holiday on this beautiful home! The house perfect, the kitchen was amazing and perfect for all the cooking we did. The house was exactly how it is listed! Bennie was in contact before the stay and made check in easy! Everything was perfect! We will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the pool and Colorado River!
