The Space:

Welcome to Bungalow 89, tucked into the easygoing neighborhoods of South Haven’s south side. Just a few sandy steps away from South Beach, around the corner from the laughter spilling out of Kid’s Corner playground, and a lazy stroll away from the ice cream shops, farmer’s markets, and waterfront cafés downtown, this is a place built for slow mornings and long afternoons.



Step inside and kick off your shoes. The main level opens up into a space made for gathering - A kitchen where blueberry pancakes from DeGrandchamp Farms land hot on plates, a wide table where games from the shelf spill out after dinner, and a living room where you can stretch out, flip on the 50" TV for a movie, or simply drift into a nap with the windows cracked to let in the lake breeze.



Before you even step inside, though, the front porch invites you to settle in. Start your mornings here with a cup of coffee in hand, watching the neighborhood wake up as people stroll by. With the addition of a new outdoor futon and mattress, there’s now even more cozy space to lounge, read, or simply take in the South Haven rhythm.



Just off the main living space, the Primary Queen Suite offers a peaceful, stair-free retreat - Ideal after a day spent hunting for beach glass at Pilgrim Haven or wandering the docks at South Beach Pier. Down the hall, a day bed stands ready for the nap you didn’t plan but absolutely needed after a morning downtown tasting pastries at Phoenix Street Café.



Upstairs, the story unfolds a little further. Three Queen Suites stretch out like open arms after a sunset sail on the Friends Good Will tall ship. A twin bedroom with two beds leaves room for whispered secrets and pillow forts. The Lounge is ready for anything - A futon for quiet reads and a desk to quickly answer an email before slipping back out to catch the Riverfront Concert Series or the evening’s splash pad lights show.



Take the adventure to the upper deck, where the lake peeks shyly through rooftops, and the world feels just a little softer before the day spins into color. Watch the paddleboarders drift by on the horizon, or map out the day's stops - Maybe a stroll through Stanley Johnston Park’s art fair or a bike ride down the Kal-Haven Trail.



The upstairs family room gives everyone a place to catch their breath between chasing waves and chasing souvenirs. It’s where damp towels hang from chairs, flip-flops line up at the door, and the half-played board games sit ready to pick up where you left off. A soft landing spot after mornings at the beach and ice cream runs at Sherman’s Dairy Bar.



Out back, the world slows down even more. The grill sizzles with burgers as the backyard fills with the sounds of an impromptu family tournament. The outdoor table becomes a hub of clinking glasses, melted marshmallows, and half-told stories. As night falls, the fire pit sparks into life, the stars take their places overhead, and the screened-in Ping Pong room comes alive with friendly rivalry and laughter that lingers well past bedtime.



At Bungalow 89, the days shape themselves - A morning fishing off South Haven’s pier, an afternoon picking berries, an evening spent following the glow of the lighthouse back home. Every corner offers a reason to linger just a little longer, and every moment invites you to stay a little more yourself.

This home is located in our breath-taking South Side Neighborhoods in South Haven. A peaceful, quiet community filled with people who all share one thing in common: A love for the beach and our home right off of Lake Michigan. The best part about staying in this area is that you're located in a quiet setting that's easily walkable to access some of the towns best features - The shops of downtown, views overlooking the lake, the countless beaches, and endless outdoor activities.

Parking: Off-street parking for up to 4 vehicles

Pets: Pets are not allowed at this property

Beach Access: South Beach access is only a 1 minute stroll away
