About this house rental
This historic vacation rental has been lovingly cared for and modernized to blend its original charm with modern conveniences. The location couldn't be better, with so many attractions within easy walking distance. This is the perfect gathering place for families.
INSIDE THE VACATION RENTAL
The main level features a 3-season porch for relaxing and enjoying the Lake breezes. The entry foyer is impressive and opens into the large dining room and living room; the kitchen has been totally updated and stocked and features new appliances and a wet bar. In the rear of the home is a family room with a flat-screen TV. Also on this level is the main bedroom with a full bath.
The second floor has three more bedrooms and a full bath. The home has central air, washer/dryer, and cable/wireless internet - and is loaded with fun stuff for the kids - games, videos, and all the beach and water toys you could want for great times at the Lake.

Pros:
- bedroom setup worked well for our group of 2 families with small kids + grandparents
- large dining table with 10 seats (and we squeezed another in at the end for 11)
-lots of games and puzzles
- 3 separate sitting/ couch areas (2 with TVs) for when people wanted to do separate things
- table for 6 outside with some room to run and play (we put a blanket down for the kids to picnic when we ate outside)
- very short walk to the beach or downtown
- lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrella, tubes, etc in the garage
- beds were comfortable
- washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets provided
- foyer with stairs had doors we could close to keep the crawling baby away
- clean and nicely stocked kitchen
- water heater somehow kept up with all of us
Cons:
- the only minor thing i can up with is that the closelines (retractable) outside didn't have enough tension to stay up with anything hanging on them.
Overall it worked great for our family and we'd definitely stay here again.

The house has a great location within easy walking distance to the beach and to downtown. Two issues with the property, first the door code would not work, same with the next few given from the property manager, it took an hour to get into the house. Second, the thermostat is not user friendly and the air was not set to come on until it was 86 degrees, it took a while to figure out how to set the temp so the AC would come on (external temps were in the 90s) and then even longer to get the upstairs somewhat cooled off.All in all a good stay but those issues kept it from 5 stars.
