Our stay in this apartment in Funchal was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Despite our flight being delayed, we didn’t arrive until around 3am, and the host could not have been more accommodating—waiting up to greet us with a warm welcome and making sure we were settled in comfortably. That level of care really set the tone for the whole trip. The apartment itself was excellent—clean, spacious, and full of charm. We especially loved the unique touches, like the old working sewing machine, which our daughter found fascinating and spent time exploring. It gave the place a real sense of character that you don’t often find. One of the highlights was the beautiful top balcony. The views were stunning, and it quickly became our favourite spot to sit and enjoy breakfast each morning in the sunshine. It felt peaceful while still being right in the heart of everything. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the amenities—Old Town, shops, restaurants, and everything we needed was just a short walk away. It made exploring Funchal incredibly convenient. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. A wonderful host, a lovely apartment, and a perfect location—highly recommended and we would absolutely stay here again.

Hi generally a good place to stay, host was very nice.The property is on a steep hill and found the walk up a problem for me personally, and renters should be aware of this, saying that we got around it with buses and using Bolt.Although did not affect my stay overall I think it is reasonable to have working appliances if you wish to use them. The coffee machine i could not get to work or the tv, There was a TV remote but only one channel was available.The place itself was good great views from balcony but i do feel could do with some improvement, one wall needed painting where patch plastered.
