About this house rental
Located in a quiet area of Funchal, at an altitude of approximately 250 meters, the house is a typical Madeiran house dating from 1927, decorated by a famous Portuguese architect, where local character blends with colonial and modern architecture, punctuated with beautiful design details. UNFORTUNATELY, WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHILDREN UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE. In addition to the tastefully decorated house, you will find everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
This accommodations are based in a former couscous factory, at the time the only one on the island, and precious objects and utensils used for its manufacture are still intact.
The different outdoor areas of the property, although shared with two other bungalows, allow for complete privacy, whether in the lush garden of palm trees and tropical plants, or on one of the terraces overlooking the sea and simultaneously the mountains.
From the generous 12x6 meter pool, you can see the magnificent bay of Funchal and the deep blue ocean, bathed in the unforgettable Madeira sunshine.
With a privileged view over Funchal, the property makes it one of the most beautiful places to watch the famous New Year's Eve fireworks, or simply the sunset over the magnificent bay of Funchal. In the second week of August, it's party time; the neighborhood comes alive with a big festival, live music, and kiosks selling snacks and drinks (not advisable to book at this time for those who dislike nighttime noise).
Within a short distance, there is a restaurant, snack bar, bakery, cafes, supermarkets, market, pharmacy, bank, and post office.
If you prefer to dine at home, you can choose between the spacious outdoor barbecue area or the fully equipped kitchen. You can even hire a chef!
The bus stop is 20 meters away and the city center is a 5-minute drive. Taxis are nearby, or if you prefer, we can help you rent a car.
If you wish to explore the island, Maison de Puits is ideally located for exploring by car, taxi, or bus. The second half of August is usually very lively with the São Roque festivities, featuring a traditional fair, live music, and lots of fun (not recommended for those sensitive to noise).

Very nice hosts and super cozy flat, terraces BBQ and pool with stunning view over Funchal and sea with Harbour.

All what you see on the pictures is there, great BBQ and pool with fantastic view over Funchal city and the sea. Very helpful owner, all clean and well looked after. Bar local meat restaurant just around the corner. Max 10 min drive ftom city center. Sleeps well on sofa bed 2-4 adults can sleep here; enjoyable big terace om the roof !
Including bath and swimming towels, very nice.
