About this villa rental
The Cozy Nook Residence is located in a quiet blind alley with flowering hedges of jasmines and bougainvillea. Built in 99 in pure Madeira style on the ground of an old farm, blends with the surrounding gardens and jacaranda trees.
Only 5 minutes from the centre of Funchal, The Cozy Nook Residence stands on two floors with a private garden where you will find our tropical banana trees.
The ground floor welcomes you with a large living lounge with a dining area and comfortable sofas close to the fireplace (in winter - for us - Madeira - 16ºC is cold!!!).
at the same floor a fully equipped kitchen with a large breakfast table opens over a back garden where you will find a barbecue. One guest bathroom completes the facilities at the ground floor.
Going up the stairs to the first floor to discover the comfort of three spacious bedrooms, 2 with double beds and one with twin beds - and two more bathrooms (one in suite). A big terrace serves the main bedroom.

After arriving late in the evening after three flights, it was only with the help of the Hertz rental car agent calling Giorgio we were able to locate the house. The GPS in our car didn’t recognize the address. Bless Giorgio, he waited in the very narrow alley for us to check us in. The house was lovely and well equipped, but the beds in the two bedrooms we used were both awful. Springs were popping through. My husband believes we were sleeping on box springs. We did pull the duvet off the third bedroom bed on our last night to pad our bed. Our friends did something similar in their room. The location worked well with a rental car, but for four 70 something adults getting into town and back would be more than challenging.

Giorgio is a very attentive host and was helpful to us. The house is large for the two of us and could accommodate 4 very well.
We rented a car and the location is great for either going into town or driving to other locations on Madeira. Walking would not be easy and maybe difficult to find.
The house is on a dead end street so fairly quite, except for some occasional dog barking. I enjoyed being away from the tourist area.
