Very cozy, sunny 1 bedroom apartment. Located 5 minutes walk from the center

Very clean property, nice comfortable bed . Washing machine very handy and everything you need in the kitchen. Good TV channels should you fancy a night in.Tea, coffee and biscuits left by the owner and much appreciated.The cafe/hotel next door is handy for a drink and snack , with excellent views over Funchal. Just make sure you request check in detail. I had to send for them the day before I was due to travel as I still hadn't received anything . Once received everything went smoothly. A taxi from the airport is your best option if you have suitcases, the hill is too steep to take them up from town ( or even back down).The WiFi wasn't working , I tried to contact the owner but didn't receive a reply, luckily I had plenty of data on my phone but I couldn't use my iPad.

Simple, but clean and comfortable apartment perfect as a base for our stay. Especially appreciated the washing machine and the host even provided a couple of detergent capsules, so we were able to wash our clothes after a muddy hike. Good location, close to the centre of Funchal, but bear in mind there's a steep hill to climb up - though taxies from the centre will cost you about 4 euros. The only issue was not getting the actual address any check-in instructions before our arrival and having to call the host on our late in the evening after we arrived. It took few calls before her daughter got in touch and provided the access information, but from there it was smooth, so overall a good experience.

Nice flat close to the center of funchal

We did not hear from the host after repetitively requesting information until we were outside our stay. There was no information packet, that most vrbos have concerning trash, where to leave dirty towels, check out process, anything like that. There usually is information about the area like where to eat, attractions, ecetera and there was none of that. The kitchen was poorly stocked. The neighbors were very loud. Even after required quiet times.
