About this cottage rental
Rural stone farmhouse, from the early '900, completely renovated, in a hilly area, with wonderful views of Lake Bolsena. Surrounded by over 6 hectares of fenced land and cultivated with vegetable garden, fruit trees, purgatory beans, olive trees and vines. The undivided property has a private swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and a large garden. The pool has a height of 135 cm.
The internal structure is about 160 square meters, on two levels.
Ground floor: kitchen, fully equipped; living room with two sofa beds (mattresses 150 cm) and piano.
First floor: two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The bedrooms and the living room are equipped with air conditioning.
The larger groups will be able to take advantage of the sofa beds as well as the basement: a studio with a kitchenette and a double bed (height of the basement 190 cm). The bathroom in the basement, which has an entrance from the outside, has a large shower and a washing machine.
Exterior: Swimming pool, garden, covered veranda, jacuzzi for 5 people, terrace and beautiful pergola. Barbecue and wood oven.
The Casale "Antico Corniolo" will be the ideal destination for lovers of nature, sport, wellness and music.
For sports lovers, in addition to all those that can be practiced in the Lake of Bolsena, possibility to make numerous excursions on foot or by mountain bike; riding stables 500 meters from the property.
Lovers of food and wine tourism will discover the flavors of the past, tasting our ancient fruits and the renowned purgatory beans, as well as our extra virgin olive oil and local wines.

And for those who love relaxation? The landscape, the sun and the mini swimming pool, equipped with aromatherapy, chromotherapy and stereo system, will know how to help you ..... Who wants to cheer up the holiday to the rhythm of music, will find to welcome a splendid piano and a stereo system.

The farmhouse takes its name from the cornel tree, an ancient and forgotten fruit.
The wood of this plant is one of the hardest, most flexible and resistant of our regions. In the past it was used to make spokes of wheels, agricultural tools and various tools. Also used for the construction of Roman javelins, the cornus indicated at the same time the tree and the weapon; it is mentioned by Virgil in the Aeneid and Ovid in the Metamorphosis.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay in GradoliOur family had the most incredible time at this home. To be honest, I wish I could gatekeep this place and all its specialness so fewer tourists would find out about it! The home itself is a perfect blend of historic Italian charm and modern amenities. It was spotless, had a breathtaking view, a hot tub, pool, a washer, dishwasher, and air conditioning—everything we could possibly need. Her mother, Chef Lidia, even came to the home and made us homemade gnocchi and tiramisu. It was so delicious we had her come back for a second time at the end of our trip!The location is a dream. The town of Gradoli is so quaint and picturesque, and it’s a short drive to the slightly bigger city of Bolsena, without the hustle and crowds of places like Florence. We effortlessly rented a boat locally and went out on Lake Bolsena.However, the absolute best part of our stay was the hospitality of our host, Daniela. She went above and beyond to make our trip special. She coordinated tennis for my husband and me at a local club just five minutes away, even though the owner didn't speak English. She also called local gyms to confirm we could drop in. When we took a trip to Florence for an evening, she sent us her favorite food and entertainment spots.This home truly felt like a special experience, and we have already booked our return for next year. We can't recommend this place and Daniela's hospitality enough.

Lovely house and wonderful garden, great for dog owners.
We enjoyed the view from the pool over the lake.
Owners were very helpful and took care of everything.

This place was perfect for us. We arranged to stay here for one night, which was a big mistake. We should have stayed here several days, making day trips to Pitigliano, Sovana, Civita, Saturnia, and anywhere else nearby we wanted to visit. This was the perfect place to relax, cook dinner, and relax some more. The grounds and the view were stunning.
Equally important the host, Daniela, was helpful and easy to contact. She offered to meet us in Gradoli to show us how to get to the property. We thought we could easily find it on our own. Wrong! We got completely lost and ended up meeting her father, Serafino, in Gradoli. Lesson learned … meet them in Gradoli to begin with! Then it's a short drive to the property. Serafino was absolutely wonderful! It was a pleasure meeting him and talking with him about his life and the property.
This is definitely a place we would return to.

Absolutely beautiful country home with stunning views of Lake Bolsena. Everything appears to be recently refurnished and modern, from the kitchen to the bedding. The decorations are very tastefully done and quite charming and cozy. We had a very comfortable stay. One of my favorite parts of our time here was waking up to the beautiful views of the lake which was about a ten minute walk away from the property. The landscape was also picturesque. The gardens and orchards and little chickens and ducks wandering around gave it a real Italian country feel. With that said, within 5-10 minutes you can be in the center of the little town of Gradoli which was very charming. It was nice to have our space but also to be able to go into town and enjoy the delicious Italian foods and wines and other amenities the town had to offer. Whenever I am back in this area of Italy, I will definitely be staying here. We were very accommodated and enjoyed our time immensely. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful property!
