About this villa rental

A villa in an oak park.
A wonderful panorama from the top of the 'Colle delle rose', 600 meters above sea level. above sea level at the borders of Umbria and Tuscany. The villa includes the garden around the swimming pool and a park of centuries-old oaks. The road that climbs the hill passes through an oak forest which has formed a large green tunnel on the road. Perfect privacy, private pool for guests only, the main road is 400 meters down the hill.
The peculiarity of the place, in addition to the panorama, is THE CLIMATE, characterized by a fresh afternoon breeze.

The owner met us to check us in, but returned that evening while we were eating. Having interrupted the meal he wanted 300euros in cash as a deposit. He said he'd return next day. However, by then we realised that the downstairs toilet and drains were blocked as were 2 of the upstairs showers. There was no hot water in some. On return he waived the deposit and over the next 2/3 days fixed the plumbing and boiler. The kitchen is not adequate for a large number of people. Equipment is extremely old and poor quality. Some beds are also very rickety. As mentioned in a previous post the system of refuse disposal needs improvement. The location and space is superb. The pool is large and well kept. We had a lovely holiday. But the owner was unwelcoming and frequently in evidence about the property as if checking on us. He came to check the property before we left and thanked us for being good residents. He also brought bottles of his homemade wine on two occasions.
