About this house rental
The Casorbica farm is a classic Tuscan stone house of 120 square meters, located in the countryside of the Val di Chiana just 2 km from the historic center of the city of Cortona, between Perugia and Siena. It is arranged on two levels.
On the ground level, a double bedroom with bathroom, a sitting room / kitchen equipped with everything you need, and another external bathroom.
On the first level, two bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds which in turn can become another double bedroom, two-seater sofa bed, bathroom, sitting room with fireplace.
The building has a large garden equipped with chairs, deck chairs, swimming pool, barbecue and outdoor lighting, tables for outdoor dining, to spend pleasant hours of relaxation, surrounded by the Cortonese countryside, free private car parking. Nearby you can find tennis courts, horse stables, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, bicycle rental, a 30-minute drive to the spa in Loc. Rapolano Terme.
On request (at the time of booking) an additional bed can be placed in the double room.
WI-FI network available free of charge.
On request (at the time of booking) the double room can become an additional double room.
In the summer period from 08 June to 31 October 2020 you will have the use of the entire swimming pool exclusively.
On request it can also be opened in advance.
Upon arrival you will have to pay the tourist tax of € 1.50 per person for the first 4 days excluding children under the age of 12.

We had a very nice and relaxing stay, many thanks to the friendly host. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The property is quietly located at the foot of the small town of Cortona, which is definitely worth a visit. The holiday home has a beautiful, large garden and pool. The landscape is beautiful and authentically Tuscan. The nearest supermarket is just a few minutes away.

We are a family of five and found the property ideal for our needs, the children occupied the first floor whilst mum and dad occupied the ground floor, both have a kitchen area and lovely bathrooms with ample space to dine together on the ground floor. The property was clean and is very well maintained.
The owner Giorgio met us on our arrival and managed to answer any questions we had with the help of google translate and actually came to the property every morning to clean the pool, this was around 7am so we didn't often see him but found it helpful as on a few occasions i got up especially to ask for recommendations for parking in Florence or good local restaurants.
Given the location of the property i would say a car is essential, views of Cortona can be seen from the property which is only a 10 mins drive away and a beautiful place to spend the evening. We visited Siena and Florence for a day each during our stay using the park and ride (tram) for Florence and found it all very easy and also drove down to Bangi di San Filippo to bathe in the free thermal pools (recommend) which took about 1 hour. There is also a designer shopping outlet about 25 mins away that is also worth a visit.
There are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants in Camucia which is just a few minuets drive away but we found ourselves eating at a restaurant Giorgio recommended called Hostaria Pizzeria La tufa which was excellent and very reasonably priced.
The pool, bbq, garden and hot tub was all fantastic, there were a couple of evening we could of done with air conditioning but other than that i can not fault anything and would/will book again.
