Scared to use toilet, plugged after 3 pees. Dirty kitchen, smelly bedding, bugs, cobwebs. Dirty cups from cupboard, very dusty. We left after 1st night. Very unhappy with this property owner!!

Lovely garden suite with beautiful deck/ backyard access. Loved the fire table and hot tub. Owners werent home during our stay so it was very private. 5 min drive to the lake & town. Lots of little gems (hikes, shops, swim spots etc) around this area . Picture is from hike about 20 min away from house, with great views overlooking Shawnigan lake!

This beautiful gem is perfectly located at Shawnigan Lake, approximately 30 min from downtown Victoria. This property comes fully equipped with a kitchen, BBQ, king size bed, patio, and a hot tub. And of course, Ruby the Doodle is an extra addition to the full suite of amenities, offering security, taste testing, and companionship. We really enjoyed staying at this property and we would recommend this home away from home to anyone! Thank you Sylvain!!!

My son was competing in a rowing regatta at the West Shawnigan park. This was the perfect location, close to the park, quiet and cozy to retreat to after the races! We also really enjoyed the daily visits from Ruby!

The house and yard are exactly as described. The suite was so comfortable and spacious. The flowers were just starting to come up but I’m sure they look as great as the pics show once fully bloomed. We got to enjoy the hot tub for a few nights and the outdoor fire table when the weather prevented us to relax in the tub. Ruby was the best co-host anyone could ask for. Sweet, cuddly, playful and funny are just a few words to describe this amazing pup. We looked forward to all her visits, especially the morning ones. Would definitely stay here again.

The indoor space was so cozy and bright with lots of windows and an eclectic fireplace. The outdoor space was spacious and beautiful. We love dogs and every morning Ruby came to greet us. The weather wasn't ideal while we visited but looking forward to going back when the sun is out.

We, a party of three with dogs had a great stay. The house had everything we need for a 2-day stay. The courtyard setting had a great ambiance, very welcoming and relaxing, just like in the pictures. What I enjoyed most is having my dog lying on one side and Ruby, the house dog, on the other side with me, listening to the soothing flow of water cascading from the fountain next to us. That’s my version of a mini vacation ! Thank you Sylvain and Ruby, the best four-legged hostess!

Enjoyed our stay. Great amenities, we used the bbq, hot tub & yard was big & fenced. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor space which included a fire table & a outdoor covered seating area looked really nice. Hopefully, next time when the weather is warmer. We enjoyed staying here! If you are looking for a nice quiet get-away in the Shawnigan Lake area, this is it. A nice big comfy bed, beautiful gas fireplace, and a big kitchen. We also liked the outdoor patio area and fenced yard. Ruby the resident doggo was especially sweet and happy to meet us. Check-in process was simple and painless😊. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great communication for our stay. Pictures are accurate and exactly as posted. Hot tub, barbeque, outdoor fire & comfy couches on the covered deck are bonus. Sylvain & Karen were available for any questions when needed. Of course sweet Ruby is an added bonus - esp for our pup who eagerly waited to see her come down the stairs. Our desire was to enjoy the last weekend of summer outside so we chose this place. We spent most of the weekend around the outdoor fire on comfy couches under cozy blankets. The backyard is gorgeous and you can enjoy it rain or shine. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Everything is clean and comfortable. The hosts were great and responsive when needed.

Don’t think, just book it. Very comfortable 2 bed 1 bath apartment. All the ammentities you could need including a hot tub and bbq on the deck. The Hosts are amazing and Ruby always greets you upon entering. 100% reccomend.

It's a very nice ambience in the backyard with the lights and fire pit and the outdoor dining all on a patio nicely landscaped beautiful environment. Fully equipped kitchen with extras such as loads of spices and teas and coffees. A great home away from home.
