At the arrival time the owner was present at the cottage location. Even though we speak some french it was very helpful that Steve and Sue are English which makes the communication a lot easier. After a short introduction Steve showed us the cottage and gave an explanation of the different rooms and equipment. The cottage equipment is very complete and well maintained. One of the main purposes to select this cottage is the location. It's very quiet, no main roads or traffic anywhere nearby and still a lot to see in the vicinity. Conclusion: this cottage is not expensive for what you get and deserves the 5.0 score as indicated. Highly recommended!

We received a warm welcome from Stephen and Sue, accompanied by some agricultural produce from their farm. This couple, who have consciously chosen this, are willing to assist you with all kinds of things to make you feel comfortable. A lot has been thought of in the furnishing of the cottage. Details! It is wonderful to come back quietly and comfortably after a day trip and, if possible, to sit on their lovely terrace. The beds are very good, an important issue for us. It is a wonderfully wide kitchen worktop, with a washing machine underneath. The animals on the farm also gave a wonderful feeling of being far away from the busier life in the Netherlands. For us this was a first introduction to Brittany, and to these very nice people who have certainly contributed to this in word and deed.

Steve and Sue 's cottage is located in a practical location of Centre Britanny with good access to touristic sites and highlights of Britanny. We really enjoyed the nature walks in the Parc régional naturel d'Armorique and the Celtic history surrounding it. Our hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. We really enjoyed having nice conversations with them and getting extremely useful tips for visits during our holiday. The cottage is really beautiful and well-furnished with all amenities available for a longer stay. You will also be able to enjoy a gorgeous view of nature with spectacular sunsets. If you like petting dogs and cats (or even goats and sheeps), this is definitely the best location! Everyone on the farm will make you feel really welcome! We strongly recommend this cottage and Steve and Sue as hosts to all future travelers!

One of the best properties we have ever rented. If you are looking for complete peace and quiet, a place to chill out, relax and just immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings then this is the place for you. Not forgetting Steve and Sue, plus their adoring pets and animals, who will make you feel completely welcome. Can only say, superb and thank you for being able to share your wonderful home.

This is a really comfortable gite in the middle of Brittany making it easy to explore in all directions, coast and the countryside. We particularly enjoy cycling along the Brest Nantes canal which is both safe and scenic, it is no more than a 30 min drive away from the gite. The gite provides you with everything that you need, English & French TV, really comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom upstairs. Steve and Sue are excellent hosts, who provide some lovely touches to make your stay special, the eggs are delicious! We will most definately return.

The location is stunning, quietly nestled into the rolling hills and woods near Carnoët. At night it is perfectly quiet and when the clouds are gone the stars are crystal clear without a hint of light pollution, truly breathtaking. The cottage is very nice, as shown in the photos, very clean, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable with a nice selection of books and games for children - very useful! Steve and Sue are the perfect hosts, around but discreet - they live in the house next door. They look after quite a few animals on their little farm - sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens etc. and every morning they involved our three-year-old in the feeding routine which she absolutely adored. All in all, a wonderful trip and we hope to return soon!

What a fantastic area to stay in and Steve and Sue were most helpful in their advice and warm in their welcome. The fresh eggs were delicious, diolch yn fawr ! We walked in the lanes and woods around the Gite and saw lots of wildlife and birds. The gite was very well equipped and the terrace was perfect to relax on. When it says Family Friendly farm cottage on the title of the property, it means just that! My children had a superb time feeding all the sheep, goats and chickens on the farm and it was the highlight of their day. Steve and Sue are wonderful hosts and so friendly. Our children loved spending time with them and were encouraged to help out. They loved hunting down the eggs. Even my little 3 year old got stuck in. The cottage is beautiful, modern and very clean with very comfortable beds. We all slept wonderfully. Two large bright rooms upstairs suited us all very comfortably and the downstairs is nice and open plan which is perfect. Freesat on the TV meant that we could enjoy our English programmes when we sat down after the kids were in bed. The supermarket is only a 15 min drive away in Callac and we were able to cook each evening although I am told there are some lovely restaurants nearby too. 5 mins away is the Valley of the Saints which is worth a visit and is free. We would also definitely suggest a visit to Huelgoat and a walk around the lake at Callac. If you are looking for a property which is peaceful and has lovely views then this is the gite for you! I wouldn't hesitate to return. It was one of our favourite holidays that we have ever been on. We have fallen in love with Brittany. Thank you.
