At the arrival time the owner was present at the cottage location. Even though we speak some french it was very helpful that Steve and Sue are English which makes the communication a lot easier. After a short introduction Steve showed us the cottage and gave an explanation of the different rooms and equipment. The cottage equipment is very complete and well maintained. One of the main purposes to select this cottage is the location. It's very quiet, no main roads or traffic anywhere nearby and still a lot to see in the vicinity. Conclusion: this cottage is not expensive for what you get and deserves the 5.0 score as indicated. Highly recommended!

We received a warm welcome from Stephen and Sue, accompanied by some agricultural produce from their farm. This couple, who have consciously chosen this, are willing to assist you with all kinds of things to make you feel comfortable. A lot has been thought of in the furnishing of the cottage. Details! It is wonderful to come back quietly and comfortably after a day trip and, if possible, to sit on their lovely terrace. The beds are very good, an important issue for us. It is a wonderfully wide kitchen worktop, with a washing machine underneath. The animals on the farm also gave a wonderful feeling of being far away from the busier life in the Netherlands. For us this was a first introduction to Brittany, and to these very nice people who have certainly contributed to this in word and deed.

Steve and Sue 's cottage is located in a practical location of Centre Britanny with good access to touristic sites and highlights of Britanny. We really enjoyed the nature walks in the Parc régional naturel d'Armorique and the Celtic history surrounding it. Our hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. We really enjoyed having nice conversations with them and getting extremely useful tips for visits during our holiday. The cottage is really beautiful and well-furnished with all amenities available for a longer stay. You will also be able to enjoy a gorgeous view of nature with spectacular sunsets. If you like petting dogs and cats (or even goats and sheeps), this is definitely the best location! Everyone on the farm will make you feel really welcome! We strongly recommend this cottage and Steve and Sue as hosts to all future travelers!

One of the best properties we have ever rented. If you are looking for complete peace and quiet, a place to chill out, relax and just immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings then this is the place for you. Great place to stay in the Breton countryside

This is a really comfortable gite in the middle of Brittany making it easy to explore in all directions, coast and the countryside. We particularly enjoy cycling along the Brest Nantes canal which is both safe and scenic, it is no more than a 30 min drive away from the gite. The gite provides you with everything that you need, English & French TV, really comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom upstairs. Steve and Sue are excellent hosts, who provide some lovely touches to make your stay special, the eggs are delicious! We will most definately return.

The location is stunning, quietly nestled into the rolling hills and woods near Carnoët. At night it is perfectly quiet and when the clouds are gone the stars are crystal clear without a hint of light pollution, truly breathtaking. The cottage is very nice, as shown in the photos, very clean, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable with a nice selection of books and games for children - very useful! Steve and Sue are the perfect hosts, around but discreet - they live in the house next door. They look after quite a few animals on their little farm - sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens etc. and every morning they involved our three-year-old in the feeding routine which she absolutely adored. All in all, a wonderful trip and we hope to return soon!

When it says Family Friendly farm cottage on the title of the property, it means just that! My children had a superb time feeding all the sheep, goats and chickens on the farm and it was the highlight of their day. Steve and Sue are wonderful hosts and so friendly. Our children loved spending time with them and were encouraged to help out. They loved hunting down the eggs. Even my little 3 year old got stuck in. The cottage is beautiful, modern and very clean with very comfortable beds. We all slept wonderfully. Two large bright rooms upstairs suited us all very comfortably and the downstairs is nice and open plan which is perfect. Freesat on the TV meant that we could enjoy our English programmes when we sat down after the kids were in bed. The supermarket is only a 15 min drive away in Callac and we were able to cook each evening although I am told there are some lovely restaurants nearby too. 5 mins away is the Valley of the Saints which is worth a visit and is free. We would also definitely suggest a visit to Huelgoat and a walk around the lake at Callac. If you are looking for a property which is peaceful and has lovely views then this is the gite for you! I wouldnt hesitate to return. It was one of our favourite holidays that we have ever been on. We have fallen in love with Brittany. Thank you.

We stayed here with elderly parents in order to visit family who live not far away. Steve and Sue were happy to ensure our needs were met within the property and offered use of the wet room in their studio rental if free when we were there (it turned out not to be necessary). Although they live next door, they were available but not interfering during our stay and there is plenty of space so you don't feel you're living on top of them. We had excellent weather for April and it was nice just to sit outside listening to the bees and animals.

What a fabulous time we had. My 6 year old adored the new lambs and feeding them plus helping to collect the eggs for breakfast! The Gite was very comfortable and beautifully furnished and Stephen and Sue were brilliant hosts. Will definately be back next May for lambing season!

The cottage is newly converted and very well equipped. We have a one year old child and a cot and high chair were provided. The kitchen is also well equipped and there were other useful items such as games and maps. There is ample parking. The location is very peaceful indeed but you are still only a fifteen minute drive from a town with a decent supermarket and other facilities . The cottage is inland but the nearest seaside place is only about one hour away. It's a nice drive too, through the countryside . The farm setting is really nice and our daughter loved the animals. We we also given lots of fresh eggs from the farm as well as some other useful supplies eg milk. The cottage is only about an hour from The port of Roscoff which is handy.

The property was lovely; much better than the pictures show, in my opinion. It was very modern and well equipped. It is quite remote, but the roads are good and the nearby towns have everything you need for self catering, which is what we tended to do. We loved our week in this farm cottage in rural Brittany. The owners could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. The outer walls of the cottage are those of an old farm building but the inside is brand new with lots of character and everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There are loads of places to visit in the area, including the Valley of the Saints, the picturesque village of Huelgoat, with its surrounding forests, the Museum of the French Resistance (about 50 minutes drive) and the beautiful north Brittany coast, especially Locquirec (about 45 minutes away). Overall, it is one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in and we hope to return in due course.

This holiday cottage is set in a stunningly beautiful area. The cottage itself was delightful and provided us with every possible facility. It was spotlessly clean and was maintained to a very high standard. The setting was perfect, with sheep and goats grazing in the surrounding fields and an array of friendly cats, dogs and chickens, the latter providing the most delicious fresh free range eggs for breakfast! The veranda was perfect for relaxing and the occasional BBQ. Sue and Steve are the perfect hosts, friendly and very helpful and were at hand if needed. We enjoyed discovering the surrounding area including the Valley of the Saints, local markets and walks in the surrounding forests. We would definatley return.. All in all, a perfect holiday retreat! Schönes, gepflegtes Ferienhaus. Alles an Ausstattung vorhanden, was man für den Urlaub braucht. Sehr ruhige, trotzdem zentrale Lage. Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gut erreichbar. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Strand, Wanderungen, kleine und große Städte. Die Vermieter sind super nett und geben tolle Tipps, trotzdem völlig unaufdringlich. Unser Sohn durfte bei den Hoftieren helfen und war total begeistert. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen hoffentlich bald wieder.

Nous garderons d’excellents souvenirs de notre séjour chez Sue et Steve. Le gîte est spacieux et très confortable. Il est idéalement situé au cœur de la campagne Bretonne ce qui permet de faire des visites très variées( bord de mer ou à l’intérieur des terres). C’est un havre de paix idéal pour un séjour en famille avec en prime le plaisir de découvrir les animaux de la ferme et de profiter des explications de nos hôtes. Sue et Steve sont adorables et leur accueil très chaleureux. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte et espérons pouvoir y retourner pour de prochaines vacances!!!!

C'était le premier gite que nous réservons et très bonne première expérience Sue et Stephen sont des hôtes très agréables d'une rare gentillesse.
