A fantastic base for getting away from the crowds of St Marks Square,a very short trip on the boat or an easy walk to the centre. We could also get to the Lido very easily. The owners kindly sent clear detailed directions which was very helpful on arrival.
The flat is very clean but basic, the bathrooms are tiny but adequate. Two of the bedrooms are small and there was only a chair for clothes so we had to live out of suitcases and share the only wardrobe. The kitchen as well equipped except for tea cups which we had to buy. We loved the location and had a great time.

Location of the flat was great as one can walk to the centre of Venice within 20 minutes or the water bus stop is less than 300 metres from the flat. The area is very quiet with many local Italians living nearby, local shop has basics and the nearby pizza restaurant is good value for money.
The flat was clean but we felt that it would benefit from having a sofa or comfy chair in the large kitchen to relax in after a long day walking around beautiful Venice - there is no separate sitting room and the window seat is not for relaxing on! Also there is virtually no storage in two of the bedrooms yet there is room for a chest of drawers. Garden could also do with a bit of tidy up.
Overall it did met our requirements as a base from which to explore the city and surrounding islands.
