This idyllic lakeside retreat for six is nestled on the western shores of Lake Maggiore and enjoys direct access to a private beach and the lake itself.

Arranged over one level this spacious, light-filled property has two comfortable living spaces. The first is furnished with a double sofa bed, a flat-screen TV and an extendable dining table and the second is furnished with a sofa and an armchair. This room enjoys incredible views over the lake through floor-to-ceiling glass doors and leads out to a terrace that acts as a perfect alfresco extension - complete with outside seating and an outside dining table and chairs.

The separate kitchen is fully equipped: with a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave, a fridge freezer, a Nespresso coffee machine and a small breakfast table.

Sleeping

Bedroom 1: The first bedroom is furnished with a King-size double bed, a single bed with a pull-out single bed and a wardrobe. This room also enjoys access to a terrace with a lake view.
Extra: There is a double sofa bed in the living room

Please note that the verandah is accessed through the double bedroom, and the terrace can be reached by passing through both rooms.

For guests with their boat, there is a shipyard close by where you can leave your boat for a fee.

Location

Baveno is nestled in the foothills of the Alps on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. The town serves as a gateway to the three Borromean Islands, Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori. These islands are known for their lush gardens, historic palaces, and charming villages. Guests can take a boat from the nearby ferry port (a 6-minute drive away)

The property is also well-positioned for day trips to beautiful Stresa (an 8-minute drive), Verbania (a 12-minute drive) and the Swiss town of Locarno (a 1-hour drive), all of which are also easily accessible by boat. Lake Maggiore also offers a variety of water-based activities, including boating sailing, and swimming. You can rent boats or take guided tours to explore the lake and visit nearby attractions.

For hikers, the lush route of Sentiero dei Castagni is just a 13-minute drive from here, meanwhile, for golfers, Golf Club Alpino di Stresa is a 15-minute drive away. If you wish to visit Mottarone (a 37-minute drive) and enjoy skiing near Lake Maggiore, then Baveno is an ideal base. En route to Mottarone, you can stop and appreciate the Alpinio Botanical Gardens (a 22-minute drive) as well. Nearby Stresa effortlessly connects guests to Milan, Berne and Geneva with its Eurocity services.
