Summary:
Based in the picturesque hamlet of Burley Woodhead, approximately three miles away from the spa town of Ilkley in the Yorkshire Dales, The Hayloft is perfect for relaxing retreats. If you love the great outdoors, you’ll have vast moorland and countryside to explore. If you’d prefer a slower paced getaway, you can enjoy the many restaurants, cafes and independent shops on offer just a short distance away.

The Space:
The Hayloft has a homely and welcoming feel throughout. A great place to enjoy some well-earned rest, you won’t tire of the beautiful countryside surroundings.

Spacious in layout, the open plan kitchen, dining, and living space is perfect for two guests. In the winter months, you can fire up the log burner and turn on the Alexa enabled flat screen TV for a cosy night in.

The modern kitchen is well equipped for self-catering stays so you’ll have everything you could need to prepare meals easily. The dining area, to the left of the kitchen, includes a dining table and two chairs.

Retreat to the bedroom and you’ll see the double bed which has premium bedding and linens so you can have a blissful night's sleep.

Head to the bathroom and you’ll find a traditional space. Unwind in the bathtub or start your day with a refreshing shower. The room is complete with a basin and WC. Please note that the shower is in the form of an overhead shower.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Free on-site parking is available for one vehicle.

Please note that The Hayloft is accessed via outside steps.

Smoking & vaping is strictly prohibited at The Hayloft.

Please note that cycling is strictly not permitted on the surrounding moors as this is privately owner land. Walking is allowed however.

One basket of complimentary logs will be provided and additional logs can be purchased on-site during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Burley Woodhead is a peaceful hamlet located in the heart of the Wharfe Valley. Feel part of the community at The Hermit, the local pub, and enjoy a number of walks in the surrounding countryside or take a stroll near Carr Beck.

Just three miles away from Burley Woodhead is the pretty spa town of Ilkley. Ilkley is a dream for those who like to rock climb as the town has the famous Cow and Calf Rocks.

With independent boutiques, popular high street stores and delicious delicatessens, the town has a wide variety of shops to discover. You’ll often find vintage fairs in the town centre so we’d definitely recommend taking a look as you explore. If you’d like an afternoon treat, head to Betty’s Tea Room where you can get homemade cakes and pastries.

In the summer months, take a trip to Ilkley Lido to make the most of the sunshine. There are also many other attractions nearby such as the mediaeval Manor House and Toy Museum.

Getting Around:
Burley Woodhead is within 40-minutes drive time of Harrogate, Knaresborough and Leeds so it’s perfectly located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire. Ilkley is just 10 minutes away by road, or if you fancy a walk, you can get there in just over an hour.

Burley in Wharfedale train station is a short 5 minute drive away and has regular routes to Leeds, with connecting routes to Manchester and Sheffield amongst others.

The 962 bus route stops in Burley in Wharfedale and offers a direct route to Otley and Ilkley with stops at villages throughout Wharfedale.
