About this cottage rental

The Pig Garth is a one bedroom cottage with king size bed, with picture windows showing fabulous views, skylight with a blackout blind for a good nights sleep. There is a large walk in shower and toilet. The Kitchen is spacious and well equipped with a fan assisted oven, microwave oven a large fride and freezer, washer dryer for your use and a nespresso coffee machine for that morning pick up. The house is heated by underfloor heating for lovely warm cosy nights. There are large picture windows for taking in the views. There is a spacious patio area that wraps around to sides great for the dogs to have some freedom and a hot tub for you to relax in.

Everything was wonderful, especially the view and the location. Very quiet and the hot tub is amazing. It was warm in the house, the bed was very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen.

Perfect location with stunning view. Everything you could need is provided in the cottage - even robes and extra towels for the hot tub. Plus a lovely welcome spread of fresh eggs, milk and cake. So peaceful and quiet. Very friendly and helpful host. Hope to come back soon!

Check in was easy and the owner very helpful. Lovely little cottage with fantastic countryside views. The owner had left some cakes and essentials like fresh milk and eggs for us and they were very much appreciated. The hot tub was a lovely addition, just what was needed after a day of walking. Close to many walks and picturesque towns and villages. Would note that the glasses and some other crockery, cutlery could do with an update and as we were there during a very hot few days there were a lot of flies around. Saying this we would still highly recommend for a relaxing holiday. Thank you

Well what an absolute find needed to get our dachshund away as constantly was upset by the coming and going of the window fitters in our house so took her away from the stress and ourselves and what more could we ask for absolutely stress free surroundings hot tub was an absolute bonus will visit again

The property has been well done inside and the host was very friendly. We had the afternoon tea on arrival which was nice. The views are spectacular. However, the cleanliness of the cottage was well below what we're used to and what we expect from anywhere we choose to stay a

The cottage is lovely. However it felt as though the cleaning had been rushed. Lots of cobwebs and the bedroom carpet felt like it needed a really good vacuum. Also not a fan of not having a duvet.We booked an afternoon tea which was tasty. Felt as though the hot tub could have been warmer.

Went for two nights mid-week with my partner and our dog to celebrate my birthday. Lovely little well kept and decorated property. With nice touches like fresh eggs, milk, homemade cakes and fresh flowers when you arrive. Literally on a working farm with all of the hustle and bustle you would expect, but it still felt private, with great views over the fields. Well stocked kitchen, we cooked both nights we were there. Plenty of walking spots nearby and unrestricted use of the hot tub.

Had a great three night stay that culminated with waking up to almost a foot of snow on the morning of departure. Not only did the hosts clear the yard of snow, they helped push the car onto the paved area and then led us down the country road to make sure we could escape. They clean go above and beyond in all that they do. Thank you.

Stayed Sunday to Friday and had an excellent short stay in Pig Garth, such a great find, peaceful, views, warm, cozy, well equipped and presented, couldn’t have asked for more and the little extra touches very much appreciated. We didn’t use the hot tub this time or have an afternoon tea so we will have to book again and look forward to doing that. Thank you so much, we really have had a lovely few days.

Great stay at this property. Let down slightly by a spillage in the fridge that had ran down the kitchen draws and onto floor leaving it very sticky which we cleaned ourselves. Cooker also looked like it needed cleaning so we did not use it. Rug by sofa also looked like it needed a clean and had dog hairs on it. The rest of the property was clean and the views are amazing. Very enjoyable stay just a shame about the issues we have mentioned

Julie’s a perfect host, there when needed , nothings too much trouble, we requested afternoon tea for our arrival, it was such a welcome site, all home made. The cottage is superb, so peaceful and lovely to have calves in our front garden over the wall. The hot tub was our saving grace and Julie kept the hot tub pristine and running each day. We would love to stay again and would highly recommend. Thank you

This cottage was in a lovely location and the views were unreal. Cafes and pubs nearby (10-15 mins) and Julie was lovely and helpful. Julie met us at the property to give us the keys. The dogs on the farm were so lovely and friendly too! Would definitely go back.
