Luxury 6 bedroom bayfront home: pool, sleeps 14 Aug. 15 - Labor Day: Discounted

This is a lovely setting with a marvelous view of the bay. We were a family of 11 adults ranging in age from 22 to 76. There are a lot of quiet seating areas in the house when you want down time and plenty of spaces for large parties and communal dining. We particularly enjoyed the ping pong table, corn holehole, kayaks and pool. The house is in need of minor repairs, but nothing that interfered with our vacation. You are close to Barnegut Light, but the sole large grocery store (Acme) is at the other end of the island and a 40 to 50 minute drive.. we used InstaCart. also FYI many of the local restaurants will not take reservations for large parties. The beach is lovely. The hosts were very responsive

Overall, our experience was very positive. It’s a great setup for a family vacation. The owner communicates really well, and was very helpful with questions with a prompt response always. The house could use some extra cleaning/maintenance in some areas but it absolutely did not hinder our stay. If you have a boat, this is a perfect location. The beach, shoppes, and restaurants are just a short 5 minute drive away. I would stay here again and recommend this home to other large families.

This is a fabulous property in an extremely family friendly area! We spent the week kayaking, paddle boarding. biking, having fun at the beach, creating corn hole tournaments, and enjoying absolutely gorgeous sunsets. When they weren't fishing or crabbing, the kids enjoyed the pool. The family wouldn't even go to the outdoor restaurants because they'd miss a sunset from the deck! We did a couple of nights of take-out instead. The food from Off the Hook was very good.

When you walk around to the back of this house, turn the corner and see it for the first time, it takes your breath away. When you walk around the second time...it takes your breath away... The marsh is mesmerizing...from its splendid array of green hues...to the osprey nest, wherein recently the mother osprey is tending to her newborn while the father stands watch atop an adjacent post...to the stunningly white egrets...and the majestic blue heron taking flight...all to be seen even more closely through binoculars or on a short kayak ride...and then at the end of the day under the setting orange sun and shimmering blue ocean... We have been vacationing on LBI for over 25 years and we have never seen a house this comfortable and spectacular...there is a little niche in the dining room and a similar one on the breezy screened in porch where you can eat, read or play cards amidst a panoramic view of water and sky that almost seems endless... Imagine what is like to have a main kitchen and beside it a charming pantry wherein you have two fridges, two ovens, three sinks and two dishwashers... The bedrooms are cozy and they all have flat screen TVs...you don't even have to bring your own sheets or blankets. Just bring towels. While you have to get used to the temptation to stay at the house---because it is just so relaxing by the pool on the deck loungers and the book collection is first-rate---when you wish to swim on the ocean side it is a short bicycle or car ride away---and there are numerous ocean access points. It's always nice to know that you have eight beach badges and a new collection of comfy beach chairs to choose from---the owner truly understands her guests' needs and sense of convenience. Another huge plus is the Friday to Friday check in/check out. As many of you know, the traffic on the Garden State Parkway on Saturdays in the summer is a 100 mile logjam. The one mental aspect you have to get used to is---you will not want to leave this house, as you are accustomed to with other rentals---because it has so many joys and comforts, you just have to tell yourself---it's OK! The amazing thing is, even with 14 people in the house, you don't feel the least bit crowded or on top of each other. With all the balconies and porches and decks and jacuzzi, there are private niches galore. And if you really want to have some unforgettable moments to yourself, hop in the kayak and paddle around the corner deeper into paradise.
