We had such a wonderful stay at Yoah Cottage! The house was nice and clean and so cosy! And the kids loved the big garden to play in. It was also very thoughtfull that the owner had put some toys in de kids room. We had two amazing dinners at the pub next to the cottage and have already talked about coming back next year. Would 100% recommend!

We had a very comfortable stay here for 3 nights. 4 adults and 3 children between 8 and 18 months. The property was a greet size and so much room for everyone. A lovely quiet location with a stunning family friendly pub nextdoor which provide an ample menu. A very well equipped kitchen, although with a local shop a 20 minute walk/drive away, some Milk for that first cup of tea and a little welcome pack would have been much appreciated, particularly for the price you are paying to stay. Rooms were tidy and very comfortable for everyone, large and airy with lovely ensuites. We didn't need to speak to the host but we were able to speak to the General Manager of the New Inn nextdoor who also advised he manages the let's, he was very helpful and friendly.Parking is incredibly awkwars for 2 cars, especially a large car like our XC90! We were able to turnaround each time in the pub carpark which has alot of parking.Perhaps an arrangement could be made for future guests with larger vehicles to park in the pub carpark instead, this could be a good option for large parties. All in all a wonderful first stay in West Knighton and we would definitely recommend this cottage.

On arrival all of the windows were open, which was we guessed to air it as there was a musty smell. The garden was not in a good condition and had many weeds and the grass was long in most areas except where new seeded areas were. Would not be suitable for children. The house is supposed to suit 9 people, and whilst there were plenty of plates, cups and glasses, there were only two saucepans - one small one for vegetables, and a milk pan. Certainly no where near enough for myself and 4 friends and so not for 9 people! The worst thing was virtually no wifi - which meant no TV. I had to work each morning before we left for our sewing class in Poundbury and found it almost impossible as I could not access my business cloud documents or download emails. The owner sent in someone from the pub next door who after much poking around confirmed that the router was in the pub next door and serviced that and a number of other houses they owned. The property should have its own DEDICATED router/account and not a shared one. It made the week very stressful for me as the speed in the house was less than 5mb - when it worked! Overall the location was nice, quiet and the house great for maximum of 5 people - e.g if 9 people were there and wanted to sit together it would be the floor as the lounge sat 6, and the sun room 4 unless everyone squashed it. It would have been nice to have cushions for the outside table.
