Great location and lots of space
Quite a lot of wear and tear around the property, needs some TLC

A fantastically positioned house really close to the high street and the beach . Really comfortable beds and definitely large enough for 3 adult couples. Cooked Xmas dinner in the kitchen and everything needed was at hand. They had even put a christmas tree up which was a nice touch as was the welcome gift of nuts, mince pies and a bottle of port. House was nice and warm which was needed as we did have a bitter east wnd whilst we were there. Any questions i had with the owners were answered super quickly.I don't think we've stayed in a more homely home.
Nothing that was a massive issue.

Located on a quiet narrow street, was able to stop long enough to unload without another car using the road before going to park up. Plenty of space in property and well appointed and comfortable
The rooms are located over 4 floors, not a problem for us, but not suitable if you have problem with stairs!

Beds were the most comfortable we have slept in at an air bnb. Actually tried to find the mattress I slept on to buy, but sadly not coming up as available to buy now.
The staircases and steps are extremely steep and dark even with the lights on. You truly have to take care.

Central location, right in the heart of weymouth! One street away from the beach. Side street away from local independent shops and the busy main high street. Perfect for people who would like to park the car up for the weekend or easy for people with a vehicle.
Onsite parking, but that couldn't be held as the property was probably build way before cars etc.. there are carparks located around and the main pavilion carpark a short walk for weekend parking etc.

Excellent location right in the middle of the quaint old streets and very close to the beach for an early morning swim. Plenty of useful stuff in the kitchen and ample size to fit 7 adults around the table. Comfortable beds, good customer support, outdoor drying area useful for towels and swimming costumes.
Location means car access needs planning, so booking with JustPark in Asda car park very useful. Lots of stairs, but they were fine. The bedroom with the bunk bed didn't accommodate our 7th adult well so best for 6 adults plus 1 or 2 smaller children.

There was enough space for the 8 of us to stay. The communal spaces meant that we could all sit around and talk to each other. The bay window was amazing. Close to the beach and amenities. One issue we had was dealt with promptly.
3 flights of very steep, twisting stairs that were dark in colour, which meant they were difficult to see. The polished wood was quite slippery so was quite scary caring a 5 month down them.
Both bathrooms were on same floor.
Shame there was no recycling, all rubbish goes in same place.

Cottage was in a superb central location, had plenty of space for us to spread out and the style and decor was in keeping with the age of the property and nice and quirky. Beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was an enormous entertaining space and there were plenty of sofas and armchairs around for reading/chatting - it was perfect for a very sociable family weekend for 7 of us !
There wasn't really anything to dislike, just a few notes maybe:
A slight bit of street noise, but this was minor (and we were there on Easter Bank Holiday weekend).
There is no parking but we managed to find a number of short and long stay car parks. We also managed to unload outside the cottage and then drive off afterwards.
The steps are a bit steep (for old people and old dogs), but if you are careful it is a great place to stay.
Thanks for a lovely mini break.

We would have liked the property a lot more had it been clean. It is in a good location albeit some potentially seedy goings on in the house opposite (men coming and going constantly) and it has some nice design features
It was absolutely filthy. Where do you start? Probably the beds as this was what upset us the most. We were a group of four middle aged ladies and every bed in the house smelled musty other than the top pillows which smelled freshly laundered. The rest of the bedding smelled old and as if it had been slept in before. We believe whoever prepared the house thought changing the top pillow case would trick us into thinking the beds had been changed but the top pillows were such a stark difference to the rest of the bedding, it didn’t. Additionally there were no mattress or pillow protectors and the thinnest of bottom sheets so no protection from whatever bodily fluids had passed down into the mattress. Upon inspecting one mattress there were all manner of stains. Really unpleasant. One of our group runs a holiday park and was shocked at the state of the place. All of the brass light switches had sticky finger prints, the skirting boards were covered in months worth of dust, the cushion covers on kitchen chairs were disgusting. The microwave had all sorts of crud on the inside of the door. The coffee machine had stale coffee water in base and used capsules. The draining board made me gag as it had dried food all over it. The top double room had dust on the mirror so deep my friend wrote her name in it (she forgot to photograph that but did photograph bottom of TV stand next to it which you will see was the same). The stores had not been vacuumed and there were bits all over it. The en-suite was appalling. Despite having a hygiene wrapper over toilet seat (which was broken and slipped) there was a poo stain on side of seat and dust on the pedestal. The shower in en-suite was absolutely minging. In addition to them having gaffa taped the mold to hide it, the door frame was laden in long hairs which blew at me whilst using the shower. More hairs on the base of shower.

excellent location, property had a very homely feel about it. The kitchen area was a lovely area to spend family time in with our family of 8, our little girl loved the toy and game corner. Would definitely stay again.
couldn't reset the clock on the cooker (buttons wouldn't work even though we googled how to) to work the ovens. managed to cook all the breakfast on the stove but would've been a lot easier with the use of the ovens. No big deal though.....

Great house! Great beds!
Only thing we found hard with babies and older people was stairs.

Location, location, location! Was brilliant, around corner from beach (we went for night swims and loved only short walk back in swimsuits & towels to property), also on corner of St Alban Steet with its bunting and mix of cafes and gift shops, and close to all the shops and harbour. This lovely old period house had so much character and original features, loved the main bedroom with its en suite (I want one just like it at home please!). The kitchen with its huge table was where we congregated most evenings, and it was lovely getting everyone (kids, parents, grandparent (sitting down together playing cards or mini bingo (my 7 yr old was the caller and very taken with the game). The wee courtyard at the back was cute, handy to have somewhere to hang out washing, or wet, sandy stuff and we appreciated the loan of the beach gear. It felt like the hosts had a genuine interest in making their guests feel welcome and comfortable.
Next door holiday rental poperty had a large group staying and they were building up a fair bit of rubbish (including nappies) which they left in black bags close to our door, the smell was quite pervasive and crept under it (there's quite a big gap between door bottom and floor). After one day I decided to move the bags nearer to their door instead which fixed the problem, mostly! Might be helpful to have a word with the owner of other property to suggest they offer guidance to guests to leave binbags to right of poperty in a designated spot.
The only other thing I might suggest is to flag up that the house is over 4 floors and only accessible by the central, winding staircase. It was mentioned but not fully apparent. My 81 year old dad struggled a wee bit. That said, I'm really glad we stayed there, had it been mentioned we would have been obliged to book elsewhere so in a complete volte face, for purely selfish reasons, I'm glad it wasn't too obvious!

The house was a peaceful comfy place in the heart of Weymouth. It has everything you could need for a stay away from home. The beds were super comfy and the house decor lovely. The kitchen was fab.
No parking directly for the property but that can’t be helped by the owners and there is plenty of parking in the town

Great location nice house, very close to the beach and shops.
The steep stairs but all properties in Weymouth have steep stairs!
