About this house rental
Autumn House is located at the crest of Shoreby Hill which rises above the scenic harbor facing Newport. Harbor beach, marina, restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
Beautiful Mackerel Cove beach, one mile from the house, is perfect for swimming.
The property offers 4,934 square feet of living space, with five bedrooms, three fireplaces, central air, in-ground pool ( open Memorial Day - mid September) sauna, internet, a sixty foot front porch, dining terraces, spacious rooms, a unique pub room, separate office space above the garage and beautifully landscaped grounds.
There are both formal and informal dining rooms, a chefs kitchen with Wolfe six burner stove, oven and Italian tile counter tops.
The first level includes the pub, formal dining room, center hall/library with wood burning fireplace, living room with fireplace, kitchen, butler pantry, small tv room/den with fireplace, and informal dining/breakfast room, powder room with shower.
The second floor is comprised of five spacious bedrooms to include three queen bedded rooms and two twin bedded rooms which can be converted to king size beds.
There are additional rollaway or air beds if needed. Jamestown ordinance limits the number of persons 12 years and older to ten so any additional guests must be under 12 years old. Enjoy historic Newport which is a short ten minute drive or ride the seasonal ferry over to Newport across Narragansett Bay.
Explore the islands scenic Beavertail State Park and lighthouse, bird sanctuary, windmill, history, farms and more.

Jamestown is a great place because its quiet but you have access to Newport and Narragansett.

We had a fabulous family week in Jamestown in this beautiful historic home! Howard and Susan greeted us when we arrived to answer any questions. The home was conveniently located making it easy to walk to the village, the playground and the harbor. Short drive away from Mackerel Cove Beach and the Beavertail Lighthouse. The kitchen was well stocked to cook family dinners and the outdoor BBQ and pool were amazing! There was plenty of space for the family to spread out for quiet time when needed and a wonderful gathering area for all. It was truly a privilege to stay in this beautiful home!! Thank you!
