About this house rental
Originally built in 1779 and reborn in 2020, 46 Church Street is the perfect marriage of old and new. This one of a kind home sits in the heart of downtown Newport. During the rebuild—the historic exterior was thoughtfully kept in mind and its interior modernized to meet every need of today’s savvy traveler.
Classic details welcome you into the home where details of the original house’s signature entry were replicated with custom moldings and the reuse of the brownstone front step still in its original location.
The first floor offers an open flow kitchen-dining-living space; with refinished original 243 year old hardwood flooring throughout. This kitchen features a hand-hammered copper sink, a custom antique island with reused historic boards, stainless steel appliances and more. Also, on the first floor, there are two en-suites, a laundry room, plus a half bath.
The second floor features yet another open flow kitchen-dining-living space, along with a 2nd laundry room, a 2nd half bath and 2 more en-suites. Venture up the wide, graceful staircase to the penthouse level, where there is a sun-filled entertainment space featuring Sonos wireless sound system, large flat screen TV’s, and a well equip wet bar which leads out to stunning rooftop deck with unparalleled sunset views of the harbor and Queen Anne’s Square.
Each level of the home has a a private deck or terrace and a gas fireplace surrounded with custom tile from local artist Lee Segal at All Fired Up Pottery in Newport. Plus, all of the walls are adorned with wonderful old school Newport photography and paintings created by local artists Marc Fernandez. This is one of the nicest VRBO properties my family has ever contracted. The location was perfect for downtown Newport activities, 3 car parking is generous for that area. Inside, the kitchens were incredibly well stocked and everything was immaculate. Our bed was very comfortable and the pillows, linens and towels were wonderful. The third floor sitting area was my favorite place to relax. We used the home for our daughter's wedding weekend. The men got ready the morning of the wedding in the house. It was perfect for that. There is a lawn in front of the church across the street that they tossed a football around for a half hour to have some fun. In any case, HIGHLY recommended.

Trinity house was perfect. Centrally located, spotless, well appointed and stocked. Much thought went into making this house comfortable. Right down to the tissues on the coffee table. The 3 parking spaces just put it over the top. You’re not going to find a better place. This was truly the nicest rental we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend!!

Newport Gem!Perfect location for Newport girl’s trip! This has to be one of our favorite places to stay. The home has been restored with attention to every detail and convenience. We appreciated everything from the heated bathroom floors to the picturesque upper deck where we had morning coffee and lovely drinks watching the evening sunset. The home is walking distance to almost everything we had planned. Great communication with Sean also. We hope to return some day.

Rarely do I have a home rental exceed my expectations. This one did! Every detail was thoughtfully curated. It was as if I was transported to a designer house tour. The location was absolutely ideal for our daughter's wedding. Immaculate, well stocked, and in walking distance to everything, not to mention steeped in Newport's history. The entertainment space on the top level opening up to a well appointed roof-top deck was one of the many highlights of this magical home. Do not miss this gem!
