About this apartment rental

Our comfortable, third-floor, south shore condo is right ON the ocean so you will SEE --and HEAR-- the sound of the surf as soon as you open your front door. The condo, with stylish, contemporary furniture, boasts a comfortable California king bed. Relax "at home" and enjoy the ocean while sitting inside or out on your lanai. Snorkel with turtles right in front of the condo (we sometimes see Eagle Rays in our bay, too)! This is one of the best shore dive sites on the island and our building is consistently rated as one of the best. The condo is nicely furnished so you can get down to the business of relaxing in comfort upon arrival. Come on in and make yourself at home! Most guests who stay in our Rising Sun Suite *do* return, btw....

Our experience at Denise’s Poipu condo was fabulous. The property sits about a bay and as you look out to amazing sunrises and watch turtles float along you are massaged by the rhythmic waves which was magicfor us. The modern style is welcoming and well equipped including beach chairs, rock shoes and towels. Being situated right next door the The Beach House restaurant was great for food, conversations and amazing sunsets. We had not been to Kauai for a number of years so we ventured out a lot leaving me a bit remorseful that I didn’t just stay at the condo and allow those waves to cover me with peacefulness with the needed self care of slowing down. We will return.

It was our first time to Kauai and the suite was perfect for our experience. Sunrises were beautiful every morning and while we weren't able to snorkel in the bay due to the swell, we had a great time on the deck watching the myriad of sea turtles swimming in it. Denise is wonderful and showed the aloha that we so often forget in life.

Amazing location- saw sea turtles daily, monk seal, black crabs, snorkeling was excellent. Best place to watch sunrise (from balcony) and sunset (from condo grounds). Condo was well stocked with kitchen items and bath items. Having the beach umbrella and chairs, beach towels and cooler was so important and we appreciated having that available very much.

This was the best rental I’ve ever stayed in. When you walk in you immediately feel like you are staying somewhere that is clean and well taken care of. It is very modern also. The property had everything you needed, kitchen supplies , bathroom supplies, and beach supplies. The views were breath taking. Ocean and plenty of greenery. When you wake up you are greeted by a beautiful sunrise from the bed. The location was perfect as well. You are very close to poipu beach and other shops. Baby beach is in walking distance. Denise was a sweetheart. Ive already suggested to everyone I know to stay at this condo if they ever come to Kauai! 10/10 recommend this!

Can’t say enough about the condo and what a great stay it was. Denise is an exceptional host. She’s very warm and kind, and has thought of literally everything! The condo is beautifully decorated… and the view omg! You can see the sun come up right from the living room and hear the sound of the waves… it’s so relaxing. The condo is so chic, decorated really nicely and up to date. Not to mention, it’s outfitted with everything you need, and stuff you didn’t know you needed. I’ve stayed in some places that have been really sparse, not here… you have everything you need to be really comfortable. Denise is very gracious and accommodated our schedule to make check in/ out a breeze. I will def look up her property when I come back and highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel spoiled and be in great location!

We enjoyed Kauai for the few days we were there. The property was very clean and well appointed. The balcony has beautiful views and it is close proximity to a tiny beach next to a the Beach House restaurant that offers snorkeling gear rental. Debbie was very responsive during check-in. We found the bedroom a little on the warm side, even with windows open. The bedroom fan was set on one speed (low). We did try to turn on the small A/C unit but it didn’t turn on for us. A 10 day per day charge applies, so we just skipped. Laundry is not in unit, so be sure to have small bills or change if doing laundry. The road the building sits on was a bit noisy, there happened to be motor cycle traffic our last night.

We enjoyed our stay in this clean, nicely decorated and fully stocked, well-equipped unit with wonderful views of the bay and ocean. There is nothing more relaxing than the sound of waves crashing against rocks which you can hear throughout the condo. We began and ended our days on the balcony taking advantage of the views and sounds. We enjoyed seeing turtles in the bay and the nightly migration of parrots coming to roost for the night in the surrounding trees. You can take a short walk around to the grassy area in back and watch some pretty awesome surfing. You can see a small stretch of road looking left from the balcony but it’s not a big deal bc you will be focused on the bay and ocean. We never turned on the TV. The WiFi worked fine. The nearby shopping center has some very nice restaurants. Denise was a great host - very nice and informative and communicated well.

This was a perfect place for us to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Kauai. So close to the water and with the beautiful view from our balcony we enjoyed “staying in” for a few dinners. We would definitely recommend the location to friends and family looking for a place in Kauai.

Let me start off by saying, hearing the waves crash as you lie in bed is literally what dreams are made of. The view was gorgeous, it was a real treat to sit out on the patio, and enjoy the scenery. I did have a mishap the first night of my stay, but the homeowner was gracious enough to rectify the situation. Unfortunately the maid did not do there job properly, because the bedding looked dirty and had stains. The homeowner came right away, and washed the sheets herself, which was very accomadating of her (shes very nice). It did take away from the over all experience though. The condo also felt a bit sterile as far as decorations go for a 500 a night price tag. Location was exellent. Overall I had a nice time at the condo. I would consider coming back on my next trip to Kauai.

My husband & I Loved our condo; details like a local number for Safeway grocery, lawn chairs, beach towels etc, nice touches. Very spacious, loved the closets & cabinets so it wasn’t cluttered with our stuff. Clean, minimal decor was great; the little cart was just fun! The host tidbits about everything was so helpful, lowering the blinds, the cross breeze to name a few. Thank you we enjoyed our stay!

We loved our stay here. This is a very modern unit with a partial view of the ocean. You're very close to the surf, and the window/screen door system lets in a lot of natural light and the sound and breeze from the ocean flows into the bedroom. It's very soothing and acts like white noise that blocks any sound from the nearby road. We also enjoyed dinner on the patio. In terms of cleanliness the place was immaculate. Sadly, we did not see turtles but we did enjoy the parakeets that show up at sunset before heading to the nearby park. We missed the notice about paying additional for A/C but we did not need it as long as we made use of the shades in the morning and early afternoon. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Aloha, The condo and location is exactly what the pictures show and describe. Cool breezes and the morning sunrise on the private lanai was beautiful. The sound of the ocean crashing on the shore was absolutely perfect! It was only a short walk to the shopping center for necessities but due to limitations we would take the car or venture out to explore the rest of beautiful Kauai. We couldn’t ask for a better host as Denise was always available if and when we needed anything! Thank you again Denise for your beautiful, healing condo location and your great hospitality. I wanted a place beach front. This location ended up as a great alternative since the walk was not far. The one-bedroom was very clean. Everything you’d need to have a comfortable stay was made available. I didn’t need the air conditioner. Open up the folders and enjoy the ocean breeze! The property owner was in-touch with all the details. Answered all my questions. You’ll definitely need to rent a car. The drive to the location was beautiful!

The condo was immaculate, exactly like the pictures on the website, and was a quiet place to enjoy the zen of Kauai. We found a lovely beach (Kiahuna) that was a short drive from the condo and spent most of our days relaxing there. The condo's kitchen was well stocked and on the lanai was a storage container with everything you need for time on the beach. We fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves in the cove below. We totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend it anyone planning a visit to Kauai!

Unit and complex were clean and inviting. Host was very responsive, and unit was very welcoming. Plenty of doors/windows to get a nice cross breeze keeping the unit nice and cool. AC was not needed at all. Great view off the deck, perfect for enjoying morning coffee. Floors are concrete with some rugs, no issue for us at all but may be for some. Everything was in order and good working condition. I would book here again in a heart beat.
