Thirty feet from the waters edge, our spectacular oceanfront, ground floor, one bedroom, Poipu condo, has fantastic snorkeling, famous surf spots, and incredible sunsets. Everything you desire in a dream get-away is located on the sunny South Shore of Kauai. Surfers know this location as one of the best surf spots on Kauai’s south shore: PK’s, Centers, and Acid Drop. Two of the most famous snorkeling spots are a few feet away, Lawai Beach on the right and Prince Kuhio Beach on the left of our condo.

You can watch humpback whales, spinner dolphins, and sea turtles from the living room and lanai. Our Kuhio Shores condo is right next door to one of the best restaurants on the island, The Beach House. Less than five minutes away, you can golf on two major golf courses (Kiahuna Country Club and the championship Poipu Bay Resort Golf Course).

Our one bedroom, one bath, 865 square foot condo sleeps two people. Completely remodeled in Dec. 2007, it now has travertine tile through out, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and two HDTV's. It has been decorated with a tropical Hawaiian flair with unobstructed views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and, of course, the lanai. Here you can enjoy the swaying palm trees, warm tropical breezes, and the most beautiful sunsets on earth. Features include a king-size bed and fully-equipped kitchen. We have tried to include everything possible to enhance your comfort and enjoyment.

Some of the attractions you can enjoy include a helicopter ride to see the island and fly over the famous Napali Coast and Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of Kauai). You may want to visit the Fern Grotto and Spouting Horn (which you can walk to). Restaurants and shops are only a few minutes away in Old Koloa Town (circa. 1830) or the Poipu Shopping Village. You may also want to visit the quaint town of Kapaa, the Kilauea Lighthouse and Port Allen.

Our stay was a complete slice of Heaven. We have been blessed to travel many places in the world and Kuhio Shores is magical. The setting is transcendent, the views expansive, the accommodation truly wonderful.The comfort of the condo was delightfully unexpected. The King bed was a gift, the kitchen perfectly appointed. Any questions, Karen answered promptly. Sitting out on the lanai just at the water’s edge…grounding on the grass at sunrise…watching the surfers, sea turtles, dolphins, flying fish & rainbows The location is close to markets and restaurants. Paul enjoyed 3 scuba dives while I stayed back and read books, completed a puzzle, prepared meals and fell in love with this serene setting.We look forward to returning

The condo was had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The best part of our time there was sitting on the lanai in the morning and evening looking at the water and all the action; spouting whales in the distance, sea turtles tumbling in the water just off the grass and surfers of all ages. So relaxing. The only minor issue was with the lanai screen door which was very difficult to open and close. Karen said she would report this to the onsite manager, but he never came by. I expect this type of thing is a constant challenge with all the moisture and hard to keep working properly. All in all a wonderful stay, thank you Karen.

We have stayed at the Kuhio Shores once before, but in a condo that hadn’t been updated. Karen’s is updated and stylish. The big draw is the magnificent view, so close to the ocean. You could tell Karen is a professional when it comes to rentals. Everything is neat and organized and she anticipates what a vacationer would need. And the chocolate macadamia nut candies were a big hit.

My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights at the condo out of a 10 day vacation and it was our favorite property. The condo has everything you need and the kitchen is well stocked. It’s located just steps from the ocean and the Beach House restaurant which has amazing food. We saw beautiful sunsets every night. Communication was easy! We talked about coming back for our anniversary next year. Karen checked in on us right away and she was so helpful.

This very nice condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay. From the well equipped kitchen to the comfortable bed, we felt relaxed and at home here. It even had AC(although the ceiling fans meant we didn’t need it much. The real reason to stay here, however, is the location and view. You can pull the chairs out into the lawn and watch sunsets and sunrises! Just next door is a small public area the fills up with people to watch but you get it right off your lanai! During daylight hours there are also surfers right there providing great entertainment. Beaches, restaurants, and shopping are all nearby - including the fantastic Old Town Koloa! The bonus is Karen is a great communicator and very responsive host. We’d rent her place again in a minute!

Stayed here 1st week of October 2024 and it couldn't have been better! Check in/Check out a breeze - the owners were quick to respond on everything. We debated long and hard on 3 different units in Kuhio Shores and so happy we chose this one. To us, the ground floor was the best - being 30 ft from the ocean yet mobile enough to walk to other areas, watching surfers all day, and the best sunset views you can imagine. The unit itself was stocked adequately for us, comfortable bed, solid appliances, etc. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

From reserving online to walking in the door, the process was seamless. Karen was very helpful and her attention to detail was amazing. We had no trouble finding the condo and WOW….when we walked in the door and saw the spectacular view, we knew we had come upon a jewel. The condo was clean, nicely appointed and the same attention to detail was evident throughout the condo. I can’t say enough positive, glowing things about our first time in Hawaii. We enjoyed every minute. Watching the surfers, the turtles feeding right along the shoreline, sunrises and sunsets from the lawn just a few feet from the patio door….it was all magical. Karen is a superb host. We will return to paradise.

The location is perfect and allows for easy access to some amazing beaches. The views from the porch were absolutely stunning. The host, Karen, was so great at communicating. We stayed here in 2020 and liked it so much we wanted to stay in the same place again! Love being able to walk right out on the grass and watch sunsets or whales or surfers or just read a book! There is everything you could need in the unit - great Tommy Bahama beach chairs/umbrella, beach towels (although there should be more than 3 regular bath towels/washclothes for a week's stay - and shampoo would be nice!), spices, appliances, etc. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I remember but slept OK anyway. Great TV. Great location to discover the island. Close to Puka dogs and the fabulous Thai food truck, too! No white pineapple to be found on the island this time, tho so that was disappointing but not the fault of Kuhio Shores. :) We'll be back again!

The location was awesome. Take ten steps off your lanai and you can watch both the sunrise and sunset. It was clean, everything necessary was provided and the bed was comfortable. Karen responded immediately when we asked about early check in. Only negative was the rattan couch and chair. They are not comfortable and for me with minor back issues it took some of the enjoyment out of our trip. But all in all, I would recommend this place. Thanks Karen

Beautiful oceanfront views and access to the well maintained grass area right out of the door. A couple people walked by to get to their condos via the grass area, but nothing that felt imposing. The condo is decorated so nicely and there's everything you would need to cook in the kitchen. Bed is very comfortable. We really appreciated the beach chairs, beach umbrella, nice beach towels and the coolers with the cooling pacs that were provided for guests. There was an occasional moldy smell in the condo, but it was fleeting, not something noticable all the time. May need to have the builidng inspector look into that. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This one bedroom condo is right on the beach. It is clean and quiet. The beach is not super swimmable, but has great surfing for locals (not beginners) and snorkeling. The location is very central and just a short walk or drive to any where you need to be in the south. The host was responsive and kind. We are already looking to stay here again.

We loved our stay at Kuhio Shores. The condo was comfortable, quiet, nicely decorated and stocked with everything we needed- including sharp knives (I don't think I've ever stayed someplace with good knives!) And, the view! Not only do you get to enjoy a full oceanfront view on the lanai, but also at the dining table, on the couch and in the kitchen. We watched the sunrise and sunset everyday and loved every minute.

The property is exactly as described. The condo was clean and well maintained. The A/C was a great perk to cool down at bedtime. On our first two days there we were able to enjoy a surfing competition from out lanai! If you look closely during high tide you can see sea turtles swimming by. The location is secluded yet within short distances to Poipu Beach and Spouting Horn. There are many local shops and restaurants within a short drive. Communication with the owner was very helpful when needed. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing location on Kauai.

As an avid “ Surf Watcher “ , the views from the patio are beyond belief . Disappointed in the Advertised proximity to “ Beach on the Right “ Where a walk-in-closet sized strip of sand poses as a beach I guess . Overall very happy though .

We loved the views of the ocean, the sunsets, the snorkeling nearby, and found everything we needed in the village of Koloa. We spent most of our time on the lanai when we weren't out exploring the island, and ate in for most of our dinners so we could enjoy the sunset. Ideal for a couple.

We both agree that this is the very best location in Kauai! From our condo’s patio, we could move our beach chairs out a few feet and we had the BEST views of sunrise and sunset! (Big perk of staying on ground floor.). Great snorkel beach next door along with a wonderful restaurant where we saw 4 large wedding parties and the photo shoot of the Bride and Groom just out front. Could not have been a better location. The condo itself was very nice with a great kitchen and comfortable king bed. We didn’t use the air conditioner much because of cool breeze but it was nice to have on humid days.

Thank you so much this condo was perfect! Being able to walk out our lanai to watch the turtles, whales, & surfers along with he perfect sunrises & sunsets just amazing! The king bed was comfortable, the fully equipped kitchen made making yourself at home very easy! Walking just steps to Lawai beach for a morning & evening snorkel was so convenient! We made reservations at the Beach House a week ahead of time & glad we did just a few steps & we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Thank you for providing the big beach towels, chairs & umbrella that was nice to have! We even used the laundry facility’s once! Our first trip but not our last!
