This wonderful spacious and sophisticated 4 bedroom home, located in the beautiful plaza of Piazza Pitti directly in front of the famous Pitti Palace, 5 minutes walking distance from Ponte Vecchio and just 10 minutes from Piazza Signoria.

Piazza Pitti 22 is an apartment that offers its guests the perfect blend of old and new. There is taste and elegance in every detail and combines contemporary design and style, alongside the structure’s original renaissance features.

Overview:

The apartment of 2,000 sq. ft. (with elevator/lift) is situated on the 3rd floor of an historical building dating back to the 17th Century. It has been lovingly designed to provide a unique environment to bring people together to share memorable moments.

The property can accommodate 8 guests in 4 double suites (with an additional 4 guests on 4 single sofa-beds split between the master bedroom and living room) and is just perfect for large groups of friends or a family wishing to share in totally privacy one large “home”.

All bedrooms, apart from one, have en-suite bathrooms, with toilet and spacious walk-in shower. The Guicciardini Suite and its bathroom can be accessed from the main living room. The bathroom is not ensuite but thanks to there being a main door between the living room and the rest of the apartment, guests using this bedroom/bathroom benefit from total privacy.

Internal Description:

The apartment is composed by one main living room that boasts magnificent frescoes on the ceiling and original columns which date back to the 17th Century when the building was first constructed as a theatre. The windows in this room, as well as the other 4 front facing windows of the flat, offer splendid views directly onto the impressive Palazzo Pitti, the home of the Medici family during Renaissance times.

The living room is well equipped and offers two bar areas: one for preparing hot drinks and the other for making cocktails as there is a small fridge.
There is a wonderful open plan kitchen and dining area which boast a beautiful stainless-steel worktop and a handcrafted wooden table with seating to accommodate up to 12 people.

The apartament can accomodate up to 8 guests all in private suites plus 4 other guests for a maximum capacity of 12.

Regarding the bedrooms one of the rooms is located off the living room (with a large French size bed), one off the kitchen and the other two are located off the main corridor.

These last two rooms can be made up as doubles or with twin beds. There are two single sofa beds in the latter more spacious bedroom, the Master Suite. The property has been furnished with a great attention to detail and boasts stylish light fittings and quality furniture.

The apartment also offers an infra-red sauna room (for up to 2 guests at a time) . The infra-red sauna is available free of charge to all guests and after a busy day exploring Florence you can relax here reading a book or listening to your favorite music.

Our mission statement for this apartment is to create memories that will last a lifetime and for it to become not only our home but your home too. Its focal point is the open space called the ‘’laboratorioculinario’’ where we want you to enjoy the Italian “dolce vita” - laughter, conversation, eating and drinking our wine (wine bottles included in the rental price).

To hand is our own personal family recipe folder in the hope that you may return in the evening and wish to prepare some traditional Italian delicacies to share with your family and friends.

Location:
The apartment is exceptionally well situated for sightseeing with many of Florence’s attractions just minutes away. Within a very short distance you will find Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and the world famous Uffizi Art Gallery, the Bargello, Santa Croce and of course the Duomo, Florence’s main cathedral. There are numerous shops , supermarkets, bars, restaurants, artisan workshops and so much more to discover all within a few minutes' radius of the apartment too.

You need have no worries about cleaning the apartment or making the beds each day as we offer a full maid service (all payable locally in cash during your stay). You may also wish to hire a private chef to prepare gourmet meals or perhaps travel in style with your personal driver for airport transfers, day trips and excursions or simply enjoy retail therapy at one of Tuscany’s renowned outlets.
