About this house rental
From my front gate to Pass-a-Grille Beach is a one-minute walk. That is the whole reason to stay here, and I will not pretend otherwise.
These Bungalows have won Traveler's Review Awards three years running, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
I grew up in this home. My family has been on this corner of Pass-a-Grille since the early 1980s, my mom Susan first, then my sister Lisa. The Cozy Beach Bungalow is our renovated studio, and I keep it the way I keep things for family.
THE BUNGALOW
One bright room with a queen bed, a sofa bed for two more, a full kitchen, and a dining area. Sleeps 4. Walk-in shower inside, outdoor shower for sandy feet, one free parking spot, and beds made with the good linens.
OUTSIDE
Beach chairs and gear are included, so you walk over empty-handed. Out front is the communal pavilion all four Bungalows share, with covered seating and a grill. It is not a private patio, and it is where guests end up making friends.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Pass-a-Grille is 31 blocks long, one block wide, and walkable end to end. Dinner and shops are on 8th Avenue, the sunset piano is at Paradise Grille, and the bay is a one-minute walk the other way if you want to fish or watch for manatees. The dog beach is 5 to 10 minutes on foot, and dogs are welcome for $100 per pet.
We live close by and answer texts in minutes. Nightly stays welcome.

This house was an amazing location - just a few blocks from the beach. The house itself was small but we expected that. It was clean and fit our needs perfectly. The sunsets were incredible on the beach every night. And the fact that we could bring our dogs made the trip extra special. There were just a few minor details like not having salt in the kitchen (we like to cook and assumed they would have basic seasonings), the silverware drawer not being able to open all the way due to the oven door, and the outdoor furniture being very worn and a bit dirty that could have been better. But this would not deter me from renting again.

less than a block to the beach, clean, nice kitchen. Parking was not an issue. Would stay again.

This "cottage" turned out to be one of several in a compound. Unfortunately, it felt like THIS one, "The Sand Pearl" was the latest addition and was cobbled together from a renovated laundry room. Paint was still drying and shelves were still being added. The "deck area" was a fenced in space with a view of UNDER the stairs leading up to the second floor rental. ABSOLUTELY NOT worth the money we paid. Landlord should have left this as an empty storage area!When we arrived, we were exhausted, and wanted to take a quick 3;30 PM siesta...impossible as this was the time the landscapers took to leaf blowing under our window for over a half hour. The positive-Tyler, the property manager was responsive when we arrived and available by text. He was informative and got us into the unit, arranged our parking for the duration. Location- we could walk everywhere, close to the Paradise Grille and the most beautiful beaches you could ever hope to walk and shell on!
