About this house rental
From the bottom of the NorthStar's stairs to Pass-a-Grille Beach is a one-minute walk.
First, the honest part, because I would rather tell you now than surprise you at check-in: the NorthStar is my second-floor Bungalow. The stairs are steep and the bedroom is snug around the corners. It is not the right fit for guests with poor mobility. If stairs are no trouble, keep reading, because this one is a favorite.
These Bungalows have won Traveller Review Awards three years running, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
THE BUNGALOW
One bedroom with a queen bed, plus a sofa bed in the living room, brand new as of February 2026, so four can stay. Hardwood floors, central air, a full kitchen, and a dining area. Up here you get the treetop breeze and the quiet.
OUTSIDE
Beach chairs and gear are included. Downstairs is the communal pavilion all four Bungalows share, with covered seating and a grill. It is not a private patio. One free parking spot is included.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
My family has been on this corner of Pass-a-Grille since the early 1980s, and I grew up on this property. The island is 31 blocks long and walkable end to end. Dinner is on 8th Avenue, the sunset piano is at Paradise Grille, and the bay is a one-minute walk if you want to fish. The dog beach is 5 to 10 minutes on foot, and dogs are welcome for $100 per pet.
We live close by and answer in minutes. Nightly, weekly, and monthly stays welcome.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. It was the perfect spot for a couple traveling with two small dogs. The location was fantastic, very close to both bodies of water and within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shopping.The property manager was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Even though the property has multiple rentals, it still felt private and we never felt like we were too close to other guests. We were always able to find parking nearby even though it was spring break and the area was very busy.

Our stay was amazing! This property is in the perfect location with a very short walk to the beach and the bay plus several restaurants within walking distance! The bungalow has everything you need for your stay! Will definitely book here again!
