Ben's Penthouse Athens

Great accommodation in a quiet neighborhood, not far from a metro station. There was even a small local grocery store close by. The apartment was clean and perfectly equipped for any plan or need. It featured a fully equipped kitchen (even including baking utensils), and the closet contained an iron, an ironing board, and spare linens. The emergency kit even had small nail scissors—which was awesome since we couldn’t bring any due to flight restrictions! The apartment had a very comfortable bed, a quiet and fully controllable AC without any time or temperature restrictions, and a beautiful, gigantic balcony (even if the view didn't face the historical sites). We also really appreciated the full outdoor roller blinds, as the sun woke up earlier than we wanted to. The host was incredibly helpful and communicated with us via WhatsApp. We had a prior request for double duvets instead of a single blanket, and the host was happy to accommodate us, for which we are very grateful!

The only thing I have to point out was the emergency light above the door. I don't know how local regulations work, but I do not appreciate having a direct view from the bed to a bright green light (especially when using blinds to keep the room dark for better sleep). Because we realized this late at night, we solved it ourselves by covering it up (see attached photos). Other than that, everything was great!

The apartment is located near Kerameikos metro station, which is very convenient to reach all points of interest + there is direct line to the airport. The apartment itself has everything you need to feel like home, even the smallest details as a lighter or bottle opener. The neighbourhood is relatively calm.

The minuses I could list: Lightening is not enough, although it's on tge 4th floor, it's too dark for me. Another thing is the poor window insulation - you could hear the outside traffic (which, to be honest, is not very busy, but still). The dining table is too big for that small apartnent and you open the entrance door, you can bump into it. It would be good if you also put a curtain on the window in the kitchenette for more peivacy All in all, no big drama.

Férjemmel 4 éjszakát töltöttünk az apartmanban, és nagyon elégedettek voltunk. A lakás pontosan olyan, mint a képeken: modern, tiszta, jól felszerelt és kényelmes. A kommunikáció a szállásadóval kiváló volt. Minden szükséges információt időben megkaptunk, a bejutás egyszerű és problémamentes volt. Az apartman jó elhelyezkedésű, a metró könnyen elérhető, így a város főbb látnivalói gyorsan megközelíthetők. Napközben sokat kirándultunk és várost néztünk, de mindig jó érzés volt visszatérni ide pihenni. Athéni utazásunk egyik legjobb döntése volt ezt a szállást választani. Szívesen visszatérnénk, és bátran ajánljuk minden Athénba látogató vendégnek. Köszönjük a vendéglátást! 😊

The accommodation was exceptional but what I liked most was the balcony which is very large.
