Threipmuir Lodge

This lodge was absolutely amazing!!! The hosts thought about everything we might need during our stay something we appreciated a lot! It was as big as we wanted it to be, super clean with everything you need for your stay!

The only reason was the location. We didn’t care that it wasn’t at the center of the city that’s why we booked it without hesitation but we didn’t know that taxis don’t come there. So it’s in an area that no taxis accept to come and pick you up but they do accept to take you from the center back there so be careful with that! My opinion: it’s amazing you have to go just rent a car!

Quiet location. Very clean. Excellent bathrooms and showers. Well heated. New and well maintained. Laundry room close by with washer and dryer that didn't need coins to operate. Doors and windows well sealed to make for a comfortable stay during a storm. Modern facilities. Lovely view. Very close to Rosslyn Chapel (10 min drive). TV with Netflix available was easy to use.

Difficult to find the entrance on the road (Google Maps sent us to the wrong place three times, and the signs were hard to see on a the road). Not many items on the hospitality tray for two people for two nights during a cold snap & yellow weather warning storm (we weren't able to go shopping for more coffee and milk). The front door security handle was difficult for us to use due to some vision impairment and dyscalculia (made it difficult to use the not-so-bright touch screen key pad to differentiate the numbers and symbols, locking us out in the storm for a short time more than once, which wouldn't have been an issue with a regular key or keycard).
