Lovely place

Hot tub was great, lovely room, plenty amenities. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Heating was not working and didnt go above room temperature the whole time we were there unfortunately.

Peaceful and cosy

Stunning pod in an amazing location, so peaceful and such lovely surroundings, had the best night away in total bliss, the colourful lights and music through speakers built into the walls was an amazing touch. We didn’t use the hot tub purely as the weather was so awful, however it was already warm when we did arrive and looked so cosy. Would definitely return.

Decent little stay in a nice location

Nice location with decent facilities and responsive hosts

The pod itself doesn’t feel too small, but the bathroom is tiny and awkward. That’s more a criticism of the manufacturer than the host though. The pod was also very cold when we arrived, so we had to wait a while for it to heat up. The heater itself didn’t feel like it was working properly as not much air was coming out of it. I would suggest having the pod at a decent temp for guests arriving, as it was 13 degrees when we arrived.

Perfect idyllic location

The property was amazing, very modern and clean and the juice and water in the fridge was a lovely touch. The setting was so peaceful and the hot tub was the perfect temperature, and ready to go in straight away. The location is perfect, being so close to a range of great places such as the Pentland hills and nice pubs within walking distance. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family and will definitely return in future.

Lovely one night away

Such a lovely get away! Facilities were great hot tub amazing! The little extra touches with sweets and cookies were a lovely touch. Such beautiful scenery over the mountains. High tec for the heating and lighting. The shower is very small but can’t fault it for a short stay. Will definitely be back thank you! Totally recommend

Disappointed for price of stay

Hot tub was relaxing, location was good and nice views

Persistent clicking sound coming from mini fridge which could not be stopped, this disturbed sleep during whole night, noticed other review mentioning it also (Fox Den Pod) Heating had to be turned off at night due to loud pump outside, solution offered was to use underfloor heating only.

Amazing

It was amazing and relaxing such a lovely place for a couples night away well worth the money, our hot tub tripped the electric for the spot lights we weren’t fussed about the spotlights but within two minutes guy from the property was out fixed it all and got bottle of Prosecco for what happened lovely kind people will definitely be back

properly was located in the most peaceful area but easy to find. it’s was the most beautiful views of the night sky. only 3 other pods next to you but would never even know you were beside anyone very private. staff are amazing felt they went above and beyond left and item behind and they have posted it back to me which is so kind of them.

Cozy Night

My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The room was spotless, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly cozy and made for a perfect night’s sleep. The pods were clean and well-maintained, Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Not good value for money

It was aesthetically pleasing however completely fell short of expections considering the price we paid for a one night stay was 219 Couple of refreshments in the fridge and bottled water

The bed had a long black hair in it. The bathroom facilites were not pregnacy friendly as there not much room and a toilet inbetween you and the shower. There was no bowls provided just plates which makes cooking packet noodles impossible as there is no other way to cook food we were provided with porridge sachets but no bowls to put them in I also put in a request for happy birthday themed decorations as i saw other reviewers had done in the past, the request was approved but there was no decoration or anything birthday related. There was moodlighting in the pod that we eventually just kept off as it started flashing weird and changing colour constantly. The main lights also kept flickering.

Fantastic night

As our first trip away as a couple this was fantastic. Everything was clean and we had no problems. Loved the little touches of water etc in the fridge. Hot tub was amazing even without jets my boyfriend had to drag me out lol. Loved waking up to the family of ducks on the pond and how quite it is. Thank you so much we will definitely be back soon and hopefully stay longer next time.

It wasn't really a didn't like but would have been nice to have a shelter over the hot tub. This is more of a personal preference nothing against the place.

Our only slight down side to our stay was that the peace and quiet we were aiming for was interrupted by what sounded like stimming/ grass cutting going on including in the evening that went on for some time. We do appreciate though that maintenance needs to be done at some point and this was probably just bad timing for us.

My only criticism’s would be the cleaning of the pod could be better floors weren’t the cleanest and it was dusty round the bedding area. Hot tub is used at your own risk, but the wooden steps into the tub are loose and wobbly (potentially not safe).

Not value for money

Nice setting near the lake. The bed was quite comfortable and it was clean.

I struggled to sleep - the air con made a really loud sound for about 20 seconds every ten minutes. The shower is basically hanging over the toilet and the sink so you could literally have a shower whilst on the toilet. The property is in the middle of nowhere and I nearly missed my flight as I couldn’t get an uber - maybe I could have booked a taxi in advance but when I tried to book one on Sunday morning I struggled to get one within two hours. I didn’t have time to use the hot tub, but even with the use of that £350 for one night was not value for money.

Getting a taxi from there is not easy. Uber do not pick up and there’s only 1 taxi driver who covers the area . Use the card that is in the handbook but pre book !! He actually squeezed us in thankfully

The hot tub was amazing and running at all times during our stay. The tv was a smart tv and could watch netflix and youtube which was pretty good. It was nice the host put some drinks in the fridge.

Even with the aircon the room was very humid not great for summer weather me and my partner struggled to sleep and woke up throughout the night and also their was noises comming outside of the pod some electric noise every few minutes which was really annoying did not sleep great and check out time was too early. The coffee machines water tank was really dusty as if it hadn't been ever used or cleaned. When brewing a coffee the inside of the coffee machine had never been cleaned and had to clean with water running through a few times. Honestly was not worth the price of the pod i feel like we paid too much. Also the fridge had barely any cooling and our drinks were more warm than cold. Also there should have been a microwave to heat up food or something.

Beautiful, peaceful, perfect - will stay again!

Location was beautiful, quiet and secluded with beautiful scenery and wildlife. Hot tub looked out onto the Pentland hills and also the private pond. The pod was clean and set up really nice, had little breakfast pots in the mini fridge for us and towel robes for use around the hot tub, which was a lovely touch! The bed was comfy, charging stations bedside and ability to connect to the speakers was all great. Hot tub was on and able to be used the whole stay, no cut off time! We only saw one other guest, it felt so private and comfortable.

The shower is in the toilet, which was saw when booking, its not a bad thing but means the loo is wet after someone used the shower, not sure if its the best for longer stays. Check out time was a little early for us, 11am check out would have been perfect.

Cute, but not worth more than 1 night.

The property is very charming and the hot tub was lovely. We booked to stay as a reward and recovery after an endurance race because we wanted to relax our muscles in a hot tub.

While the property and vibe are very charming and seem romantic, the bathroom is very small with a fogged glass door that leaves little to the imagination. The shower is above the sink and soaks everything. We had originally planned to relax all day in the cabin but we ended up leaving early because of an issue with the air conditioning, the cabin temperature was above 30° and only a weak breeze was coming from the AC. While it was a nice day outside, we were hoping to nap in bed and recover from our race. The cabin is great for a 1 night getaway but I wouldn’t recommend staying more than 1 night. The lack of a microwave or other means to heat up food meant that if we had stayed throughout the day to relax, we’d need to rely on delivery or cold meals.
