Lovely Countryside Getaway

A very well presented property and a perfect location for visiting the city centre of Edinburgh. There is a bus stop just a couple of minutes walk away which made it very easy to travel.

Not an actual problem but upstairs had what looked like an incomplete shower project. Would have been nice if this was finished and available to use.

The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. A good location just outside Edinburgh.

The gardener had let down the host so we weren't able to use the garden as much as would have liked in the hot weather.

The property was in a good position for our weekend. The beds were comfortable and the property was clean

The lack of a dining room table, second shower not completed, the outside space was not well kept.

This house is located in a quiet neighborhood of Edinburgh, in the small village of Roslin. It is fine for a short visit with a family. The house was well cleaned, the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is small but adequate. The owner was quite responsive.

The main sitting room has a quite dusty smell - almost like someone had smoked in there a few years ago. We could not get the smell out by opening the windows, though that helped. The house furnishings are quite dated and miss a bit of atmosphere. The TV is also not in the best state anymore. The garden is in need of some maintenance to make it feel more welcoming. The house does not really have a space for dinner - there is a dinner table but it is in the kitchen which does not have a ton of space, so self catering is a bit hard with a family. The photos of the house are a bit flattering (as usual though - nothing egregious). This house would benefit from a thorough modernization.
