Spacious Midtown Retreat 2BR NYC Haven Near Landmarks

The location is unbeatable! We enjoyed opening the doors to the little terrace to watch the trees bloom below us and listen to the songbirds. This is a charming, safe, quiet neighborhood. There’s a Trader Joe’s, Liedl, target, etc within a few minutes walk. I read a lot of reviews of hotels and did a lot of research for a place to stay. Surprisingly, it’s difficult to find a hotel room in NY with a coffee maker, a tea kettle, and all the other amenities I enjoy inside my living space. I don’t want to get dressed to go to Starbucks for my first coffee. This is not an option for me. The kitchen was nice, so we didn’t have to dine out at every single meal. Having fresh fruit, popcorn for a movie night when we stayed in and snacks, chilled drinks at hand… lovely. Also, it’s on the 3rd floor, so I chose to pack a little lighter and do a load of laundry for our week long trip. In New York, space is money. For the money this apartment was unbeatable. My brother rented a much larger apartment, but it was over 3 times the cost. This little gem is small, but it was comfortable and convenient. I would definitely recommend!

A basket filled with kitchen tools would be helpful. Some could be stored in the laundry area. We bought bowls for popcorn on movie night. Also, I burned my hand on the pans before I thought about using a towel as a potholder.

Clean, comfortable, good location, great amenities in the unit.

Noisy AC which didn’t bother us so much as we’re used to noise but recommend earplugs for anyone sensitive to noise. Also please amend location address, booking.com shows it as 338 3rd Ave which is several blocks south of actual unit location.

Boa localização, em uma rua tranquila, com supermercados próximos. O check in e o check out foram fáceis. O apartamento é pequeno, mas dispõe de todos os itens necessários.

Há ar-condicionado nos dois quartos, mas eles não dão conta do calor em dias mais quentes e são velhos, extremamente barulhentos. Fica difícil dormir com o motor deles fazendo tanto barulho (e eu até gosto de ruído contínuo, mas não é o caso). A sala e a cozinha ficam extremamente abafadas. Mesmo se deixar as portas dos quartos abertas, o calor durante o dia é extremo. A limpeza também poderia ser bem melhor, pois nos ar-condicionados e nas janelas há muita sujeira acumulada, sem contar o cheiro de cigarro no ambiente. O apartamento fica no terceiro andar e não há elevador. Sai pouca água do chuveiro. Resumindo, o apartamento não é ruim, mas falha nos principais itens: ar-condicionado bom, limpeza, silêncio para dormir e um bom banho. Na próxima vez, ficarei em outro lugar.
