Sheen Cottage

The house was in a great situation. It provided generous living space for an extended family. It was warm and the enclosed garden was well maintained and secure.

The kitchen was not very clean, particularly inside cupboards and drawers. There was also a leak under the sink in the kitchen. The carbon monoxide monitor situated by the boiler in an upstairs bathroom was faulty. Both the leak and the faulty monitor were reported the evening of arrival. Despite many efforts we could not communicate with the letting agency but eventually we got in contact with the owner. The plumbing issue was sorted the following day however the carbon monoxide monitor was not addressed properly. A high chair was requested prior to our stay. We were told one was provided. On arrival we found a notice on the high chair stating it was faulty hence unusable which was a disappointing inconvenience.

Plenty of room for everyone. Great location.

Garden needs some TLC. Bit wary of windows in back first floor bedrooms. Not suitable for small children.

Fabulous spacious house with lots of character. Lovely garden. Comfy beds. Excellent location. Lots of walks nearby and pubs close to hand. Walkable to Robin Hoods bay. Lovely views from bedroom windows. Dog friendly. Very quiet- got a good nights sleep!

Noisy pipe work when taps used or toilets flushed. Missing the little touches most cottages provide eg Very little toilet roll and no soap, washing up liquid, bin bags provided. Needs bins in all bathrooms.

Plenty of room. Comfy beds. Everything one needed.

Needed a towel in the kitchen. The top bedrooms would benefit from a toilet or shower room. A bin would be useful in the larger bathroom. The lighting in all the rooms could have been better.
