We absolutely loved the cottage, area and hosts. We'll definitely be back.

The location was absolutely beautiful with views down to the sea. It is possible to walk via the footpath to Boggle Hole and then onto the coastal path in either direction. The cottage and hosts were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us and our dogs.

Exceeded expectations

Everything! From the really warm welcome to the spectacular views, a lovely walk to the coast right from the cottage door, a cosy cottage to come back to after a soggy hike, the donkeys, sheep and goats on site. Oh and the home made cider was an extra bonus ☺️

Perfect. Location situated right near robin hood bay, Scarborough and Whitby. Amazing view from patio. Property was spotlessly clean.

Bed was not particularly comfortable, but this is personal taste. Lack of an iron and ironing board inside the property itself although there was a shared one very close by .

It’s got everything, countryside setting with sea views and easy access to beaches

This is our fourth stay here with our dog Honey. The property is ideally located to allow for trips to all the local Beaty spots and beaches. Always a friendly warm welcome from the hosts, Graham and Lisa and we regard this as our home from home

Wow!!

Wow! What a jewel in Whitby's crown this hidden gem is. Far away to be in the peace and tranquility of the yorkshire countryside, yet close enough to lots if places to explore. The cottages are just beautiful, comfortable and cosy and VERY VERY hard to leave for a day of exploring... in fact for that reason we had a whole day in the cottage one day, watching the gorgeous goats, sheep and donkeys playing out front, birds on the feeders and admiring the sea view in the distance. The cottage had everything you needed, with a fantastic kitchen and all the utensils you could need. Loved being able to buy fresh eggs on site too and the welcome easter egg and Milk was very well recieved. Our 15 year old son really enjoyed "The Scratching Shed" and announced that when he was older he was going to make his own (sorry not Leeds Utd themed but Leicester City lol). Despite being a foxes fan 😉 He loved looking at the memoribila and tickets and we all really enjoyed a nightly 2 or 3 games of pool. It was really good fun. The shed has some old skool games, including retro pac man, darts board, full size table football, fridges full of drinks to purchase with an honesty box oh and a special mention to the owners home brew cider... It was great! 🙂 Cant recommend Meadowbeck enough, lots of memories made and we hope to return later in the year.

The cottage was quaint, clean, in a good location and had great views. Also great wildlife too. Lisa and Graham were lovely hosts. We also loved the little touches in the cottage, plus the games room in a converted barn. We will definitely go back. I've already recommended it to friends. There was a lovely pub just across the road too.

Booked last minute for 2 nights, what a find. Ideal for a few nights as a base for Whitby and surrounding area. Absolutely spotless inside and out. Man cave/Bar/Shed was an added bonus. Tranquil and close to animals and nature

Forget all the other properties as nothing compares to Meadowbeck!

The location suited us to drive to a variety of coastal towns. The cottage was well proportioned, open & airy. All the amenities were of an excellent standard. A lovely patio was the icing on the cake. There were goats & sheep in the field opposite! We instantly felt relaxed here! The booklet in the cottage provided exceptional information about the local area & directions for guests.

Great location, comfortable cottages

The cottage was comfortable with everything that you might need there. Location excellent, near to both whitby and Robin hood bay. Children loved watching to sheep and the goats outside the patio windows. Will definitely recommend and will be returning. Thank you for a lovely break.
